Download was straightforward. "The size of added files have (sic) exceeded the capacity of disc, please clean some files for continuing use." I can't burn a 379MB Real Player video to a 4.7GB DVD.

"I can't burn a 379MB Real Player video to a 4.7GB DVD."

DVDs use mpg2 video -- the spec includes encoder settings for max player compatibility, the standard DVD video frame size, & a few audio formats. What's important with DVDs is the length of the video, the amount of video compression applied [the bit rate], & the size of the audio file, which depends on length & format. Regardless the current file size, the DVD video version will likely use much less compression, & possibly have a larger frame size too, so the file will probably be Much larger. If the video's too long, Apeaksoft DVD Creator may not be using a low enough bit rate [usually a quality setting], may not be able to lower the bit rate enough, because at a certain point the quality drops so low, it might hit a hard coded cutoff. Bear in mind that most software using ffmpeg does not automatically encode mpg2 with VBR [Variable Bit rate], which increases the file size quite a bit. A *possible* workaround *might* be to see if Apeaksoft DVD Creator will create a DVD-9 using your video, then use the free DVD Shrink to get it down to the DVD-5 limit.

That said, it could also be that your existing Real format video is broken or not quite in spec -- e.g., it's possible to do things like use only a single key frame to shrink the file size, but that may mean the file will not import into whatever software -- just as it's possible that there's a bug importing Real video in this version of Apeaksoft DVD Creator... Real video isn't that common nowadays, so it might go unreported.

If nothing works & you're determined to put the Real format video on a DVD, you might check out the software at videohelp[.]com, (re)encoding the audio & video separately [AC3 & mpg2], using an mpg2 encoder that uses VBR, then the free DVD Styler.

Jay Barney, try using freemake video converter it can put tens of hours of video on a single video DVD by using all the resolutions and codecs supported by most DVD players. The important data about that real player video is the duration, not the file size! Pixel dimensions would also be helpful in determining what variations of the DVD-Video standards would be needed to put the video on any given DVD-ROM disc 1.4G, 4.7G or 8.5G

mike, That information is very clear and useful, but whether some visitors can understand your information is something else.
