Being a one year license, does that mean my backups will be inaccessible to me after the license expires? Or are backups always recoverable? Does the program stop working or revert to "Standard"?

I've used this software for almost as long as its been out. Never a problem and works seamlessly! Get it you'll love it.

It appears that the newer version is 7.1.1, and the downloaded version is 7.1.1 -- The differences documented are four seemingly significant bug fixes, that if encountered, would ins some cases, fail the restore.
-- So, Can/should I download the Pro PAID version? Or, instead, the Pro TRIAL version of 7.1.1? If so, will the license key work on that "7.1.1" version?
I haven't read the manual yet, but wanted to know if this will BYPASS a BAD BLOCK. My HD has ONE bad block, likely in one of the peripheral, normally unused volumes when running Windows. But, it has in the past, still prevented a backup from completing.

I also have a previous Pro version, but cannot tell if it is a lifetime license. How do I know?

It works -- I have it on a couple of VMs in case a problem ever cropped up with Macrium Reflect, so I could create & use the Backupper bootable USB stick, but now have to give it a Much closer look, since Macrium Reflect Free is EOL this coming January (!). I don't mind buying a copy of backup software, but simply can't afford to buy one for every copy of Windows on every one of our devices. Years ago I used & loved Paragon HDM, but the GUI for the latest v. 17 stinks IMHO, & they haven't updated it for years. I then switched to Macrium Reflect because they had the most compatible bootable USB sticks out there -- Backupper not so much -- but again that was years ago & Backupper has evolved. Installing Acronis has Way too much impact on Windows, so it looks like either Backupper or the EaseUS app at this point.

I have lifetime licenses on both this and Partition Assistant. They respond to questions and problems quickly. Their support is excellent.

Question: I had an older version installed and by this setup removed. When I completed this installation, I went to 'About' and did not say anything about the 1 year license. When I entered the key by this nice giveaway, I did the same thing and no information about the 1 year license? My question is, where do I get the information about:
1. Date installed/1 year license?
2. Why this company is so awesome ;-)
Thank you!

R, You should have an option to remove or keep the old activation when setup uninstalls the older version -- when you do that you'll see the registration / activation option when the app starts.

Dear AOMEI
This is a great Backup SW.
I have version 4.0.2 Pro which does not show license expiration date. I assume it is Lifetime?
Others are in similar situation. If we install this version will it remove 'Lifetime' and become 1-year? Not a good deal.
Please respond.
Thank you.

Hello Mike,
Yes I saw that option, but my choice was to remove it all. It was not asking for a key.
But,..in that pulldown menu, I saw you could enter the key and that is what I did. It was not asking for a key in any way. In the 'About', there was no difference.

I've owned a full license for several AOMEI programs for a few years, and can say without reservation- they make good software, and it's well-supported with frequent updates, the only exception being OneKey, which only sees updates every year or so. Both Backupper and Partition Assistant are probably my most frequently updated software. I have several backup routines configured, and I've never known the program to crash or stall- a complete set-it-forget-it situation. This IS good software.

I too bought a lifetime licence a few years ago after a free Trial offered on GotD. This is a really good piece of software, it's saved me from a few blunders of my own making, has backed up and restored whole disks when needed and backs up my most valuable data daily. I couldn't do without it. I would encourage everyone to give this program a shot, especially as it's available free for a year! Highly recommended by this ordinary but very satisfied user.

I bought this software about three years ago when I built a new PC. Instead of installing a fresh OS as I usually do, I wanted to move my existing setup. The "Dissimilar Hardware Restore" worked perfectly, and it was easy. I've been using the product ever since.

"The "Dissimilar Hardware Restore" worked perfectly..."
Just FWIW... while it didn't always work all that well, the dissimilar hardware option was necessary for Win7 [& *maybe* Win8], but Win10 & 11 don't need it. That's why Windows To Go works -- Windows just automatically checks & installs needed drivers when it starts.

I bought a lifetime license for this a couple of years and it has turned out to be a real life saver. It's easy to schedule your backups and once set it runs away in the background and backs up your data. Recovery is is straightforward and painless. I use it backup to my NAS drive. Would recommend it.
