Interesting program. In it (more precisely, in the settings), you can set your own permanent code, and you can use the special character 'space'.

For people who got a 1 year license from the last giveaway for this in early December 2024, has anyone tried entering this new license key into an existing account? Will it extend our current license to 1 year from today, adding about 2.5 months?

AFAIK, this is made by the same company that makes AOMEI Backupper which I believe is a well regarded program. I can say that AnyViewer Pro works fairly well but it has trouble with some window transitions not being smooth. Sometimes it'll log/kick you out for no reason and there are minor graphical glitches (like on progress bars), but overall it works good enough for me.

This program may have been offered in the past. If you've used an email with them before, you will have to supply a new (never registered) email.

If you follow the instructions it works fine. The initial verification code required during sign up is emailed to the address you provide and is (at least for me) 4 digits.

Then you can complete the instructions which requires the longer code provided at the top of the readme file.

The character is for email validation if you don't have an account.
On my case, I already had an account (free) and was logged in, so I only had to enter the 16 character code provided on the txt file.

Richard Taylor, I have Anyviewer on my PC already, got notification about the update: 4.x.x to 5.0.1 and tried activated with the key, works fine and without question about verification? My account is till 2028 because every time 1 year extendend :)

Maybe you log in account and activation via your mail?
I'm not sure why.

Unable to register.
I clicked Upgrade, Signup, entered my details and it's asking for a Verification Code. This can only be 6 characters.
The 1 year activation code supplied is 16 characters plus hyphens, giving 19 characters in total.
Where do I get the 6 character verfication code?

Joel Malach, that is the link to make the account. To activate you need to already have an account and then you enter in the activation menu after you log in.

Joel Malach, you have to fill in your e-mail address and then to click on the send button, to get the four-digit confirmation code by e-mail.
Unfortunately, the forms doesn't allow copy & paste,
leading to a rather annoying form filling.
