The answers to the incidental questions are very satisfactory..
But regarding installation:
(a) the download worked alright. The subsequent installation did not.
This should not require the internet connection, I tried it often without, as you said disconnect befor registering.
(b) I also tried it several times with the internet connected. I did not use wi-fi but a USB connection to the phone which supplies the internet.
Each time I waited several minutes, sometimes an hour or more, and tried again. It did not help.
I waited hours for your reply and eventually had to go to bed. I have just got up and found your reply 3 hours ago, but in a few minutes the time for installing will have expired. Alas! This programme, is just the sort of thing that I have been looking for for several weeks. Alas!

Installed on WIndows 10 without problems. When I attached my Samsung Note Pro 12.2-inch tablet, I had to put the USB into debug status (or whatever it's called, under Develp[er Mode) before Windows connected to the tablet. Is it a bad thing to leave it in this debug status, for example will it slow down the tablet and/or file transfers due to debugging overhead?
After that, it worked well. Transferred some test files to Windows, and it went quite quickly via the USB 3.0 port on the PC. (Transfers to the PC seemed a litlle slower under USB 2.0 but I didn't really measure the speeds accurately, this was only my ompression.)
Previously I used Windows File Explorer or several free apps from the Android Play Store to move files to and fro between Windows and the tablet. What would you say are the advantages of AnyTrans for Android over these free methods that justify its cost?

Like others I found that the program would not communicate with my Nexus phone.
That plus the fact that the program suggested an inability to connect to the internet as a possible reason for failing to connect to my phone, leaves me less than excited, I have no desire to have this program upload my files to the internet.
70 megs download, and still has to download the installation from the internet? Very suspicious.
But in the process I found that Windows 10 could read the phone as an external USB, and the phone automatically set itself in the required debug mode, so, while not as convenient, this allows me to simply copy files manually with Windows Explorer.

I'd like to repeat what comment 8 asked. I have a Samsung tablet with a screen problem. I used a swipe pattern for locking it, and without a working screen I can't unlock it to use the Samsung Kies program to access it's data. When Kies starts up, it does recognize the device, but reports that it must be unlocked before it can continue.

Installed on win 10 laptop followed instructions installed without any probs. After install it downloaded all pics and vids from phone.
Gave option to select which ics i wanted and downloaded them with out any probs at all
I found it to be fast and works great this one is a keeper just remember follow instructions and you shouldn't have any troubles !

Installed and registered w/o problem in Win 10. Connection to my Sony needed some additional settings in the Sony, after Win 10 restart everything works fine, made a complete copy of all files to PC w/o problem. After shut down the windows app i found it impossible to close the phone app in as normal, had to use forced disconnection.

Thank you for answering my question, it seems everyone wanted to know this!
I have downloaded successfully, got the activation from the readme, and pressed the setup. An animation appears, and it says `downloading' (this is within the setup) and a line to show progress followed by 0%.
Nothing then happens except that the animation changes. I can wait ten minutes and nothing else happens. No progress, still 0%.
I have tried this several times (difficult to get out of setup) and tried it on the laptop a few times, the same nothing happens.

Thanks for your feedback. About the 0% problem, it might be your network problem that caused it. If you are using Wi-Fi, please switch to a more stable wired network to retry. If you have already used wired network, please wait for a moment, then try again (maybe when the network is the most stable in one day). And about the "merely transfer" and “copy” problem, the technology adopted by the "transfer concept" of AnyTrans for Android is "copy", that is to say, the data on the source device won't be erased no matter where its data have been transferred to. And yes, AnyTrans for Android also support transferring data back from PC to Phone. Hope my words have made everything clear. This has nothing to do with whether the Kindle Fire has Windows. My Samsung S7 doesn't have Windows either.
AnyTrans is a program for Windows for management of Android content (basically). The Kindle Fire uses Android OS, modified for the Kindle.
As it turns out, AnyTrans doesn't work on the Kindle (for me), but it isn't because the Kindle doesn't have Windows, it's because AnyTrans wasn't written with consideration for the Kindle.

Windows 10 Home, Motorola Moto G5S ( Lenovo ) - flawless! Imediate backup to PC of everything on the phone.

But one note : the Android phone MUST be conected before entering the licence code provided in readme.txt. Give the required authorizations and you're ready to go.
Didn't even had to disable PC's antivirus to download and install. This could be one of the problems some are not being able torun it!!

When transferring apps to my pc, it only transfers them as .apk files, not the folders and files as they are in my Android phone. I have a Navigation app where my favorite destinations and routes are not accessible without rooting. I had hoped I would get access to these files once they were transferred to my pc. Again and again Program crash when loading data from the phone. Try in every possible manner like "Run as administrator", restart the windows and phone, reassert the mobile cable but in vain. As soon as I read through the description of your app, I immediately wondered, "Well, can it transfer data from Android to Windows?"
Since it IS a Windows app, one would think this feature would be prominently displayed in the description!
This is probably the number one reason an Android/Windows user would be interested in acquiring your program.

Mr Rebon, iMobie really should point this out in your introduction: It is the USP -- the one thing that at least FIRST attracts users....
I am glad to know from you that it CAN transfer to PC's -- but iMobie probably lost a few potential customers because they do not MENTION that....
Anyway, good luck, and carry on the good (?) work -- a query simply because I haven't installed it yet! :-)
