The created program could not start because d3dx9_43.dll is missing. Can you help in this matter ?

Wow! seems interesting item. I checked the website and and watched some examples Aquarium and Breath were very good though car was also running fast. On the website they do got extra extension packs.
I also like their DP Animation maker. I am still in thinking mode to install GOTD or Buy?

Thanks, worth a try. Mixed comments but maybe this program can jazz up some photos of my paintings for background.
Glad to see comments about editor ease of use compared to other mentioned program.

After creating "Aquarium Example.exe" for testing purpose, Windows 10 64bit asks for d3dx9_43.dll. OK, I copied it from the program to Windows folder. Then, when clicking on the example, nothing happens.
Pity but my system also doesn't set any AWM animation as default desktop background.
Any advice?

Noemi, In this Win10-pro no troubles at all.
"d3dx9_43.dll" looks like a file for graphic-device.
Check if the graphic-device work properly of maybe get a new driver from the manufacturer(update).
Or DirectX-check?

Noemi,
Direct X 9 is rather old, but it's still used by some apps & games. The latest version that comes with Win10 is supposed to be backward compatible, but that doesn't always work, & in those cases you have to install DirectX 9, downloading & running the web setup or redistribution package from Microsoft.
Direct X works with the graphics processor [GPU], & performance varies. A low end GPU won't have the same level of Direct X support as a GPU on a $200 graphics card, & that low end GPU may not fully support Direct X 9, but only later versions. That means that the Desktop Paints apps & screensavers won't work on every system.
"Pity but my system also doesn't set any AWM animation as default desktop background."
Windows won't. The way it works is that once Windows starts it runs the Desktop Paints app, which is what runs the animated wallpaper. Working that way is a good thing because you can turn it on/off -- you don't necessarily want something running, taking up a portion of your device's horsepower, when you're gaming for example.

Noemi, You need to update DirectX 9 on your computer.
Unfortunately, Windows does not do this automatically.
Please visit the Microsoft download center to do this.

Install no problem. Loaded a picture to test it, was impressed with animations however say clouds, I could not move them to where I wanted them. After adding some things I saved and set as default desktop, however no icons, even though the show icons is checked. Not that impressed, uninstalled,

I've already installed Animated Wallpaper Maker 4.38, which was also on Giveaway on 2017.06.06. I would like to ask you how long is the license for the current version given? As well as, that should I remove the old version before installing this new one, or is it enough to overwrite it?

Lantos Piroska, you can overwrite the previous version. Desktop Paints licenses usually don't expire, providing you don't update or reinstall.

I meant givaway licenses, of course.

win10 pro and i7 6820HK, M2 SSD, 16 GB RAM, blah blah, i have a laptop. A big one, 5 kg or 11 lb in retard units.
First example (something with fishes floating) loaded/saved as mine and installed to look&estimate.
Both cooling ventilators go crazy and CPU usage 15% with no other significant apps running in background (the usual 200 processes in win 10 only :) .
Idle without the animated stuff, 1-2%. Total silence. Bye-bye nice free software that can make silent fishes floating on my screen with turbo charger noise effect from my fans. Maybe with a water-cooling system will be better. So see you in about a few years when silent cooling will be on all laptops or the i23 gen cpu will don't care about such meaningless stuff to process.

walys, I have a similar laptop, but no noise with this program.
The load on the processor was:

Maybe you should clean the vent of your laptop. But careful with that.
If you did never done that before ask a repaircenter for tips, otherwise your laptop can be ruined.

walys,
Desktop Paints animated wallpapers & screensavers use the GPU [graphics processor]. I've experienced 3 scenarios... 1) some low powered devices won't run them at all. 2) very many low to mid range devices work very well, without much of an increase in GPU usage, meaning no big increase in heat or power use &/or battery drain. 3) running the Desktop Paints stuff can bring a higher end GPU out of the power saving mode that it's normally in when you're not doing something that stresses the GPU.
The effects you might notice with a higher end GPU vary, depending on your hardware, & the power settings you're using in Windows. This rig has an i7, but a desktop rather than mobile version, & the animated wallpaper barely uses it. But I also have a separate [discreet] AMD graphics card, so the i7's GPU is not involved at all. That graphics card by default doesn't activate its fans until the GPU temp reaches in the neighborhood of 60 C, so there's no fan noise. It does however raise the amount of power used.

Ok, downloaded and installed fine on Windows 7 x64. Registering went without a hitch. I have to admit, I went into this deal a little leery. Especially after already having Wallpaper Engine which not only works great, but is extremely cheap compared to this software.
HOWEVER, one thing that has been a pain is creating animated wallpapers in Wallpaper Engine. That's not the case with "Animated Wallpaper maker 5". It's extremely simple. Basically you just add effects, modify them through simple editing tools and voila - You've got yourself a nice looking wallpaper.
I'm also surprised at just how complex you can make a wallpaper. This is definitely a keeper, even though it won't be replacing Wallpaper Engine on my PC.
An absolute must download since it's being given away free.

Unexpectedly extremely cute app!!

Tons of stunning effects.
It really made me feel creative now lol

"You don't need expensive, complicated software anymore. It's very easy! " for $35?! I'd consider that expensive! Considering Wallpaper Engine on Steam is $4.00 I'd much rather go with that. That has a workshop full of live/animated wallpapers with built in support to create your own should you wish.
Thanks, but no thanks I'll stick to Wallpaper Engine.

Daniel15092,
Animated Wallpaper Maker is a editor in the first place. And its editor functions are very advanced.
It does not require steam client and the standard license allows commercial use.
Save | Cancel
Daniel15092, absolutely. Wallpaper Engine is not only cheap, but there are literally thousands of live wallpapers for it. With that being said, I'm going to give this GOTD app a go since it's free. Who knows, maybe it'll be a hidden gem.
I'd never pay retail for it, way too expensive for what it is. I understand there are people behind the software that needs to get paid. But if competitors are able to release similar software for a fraction of the price, you're doing something wrong.

Duncan, it is not similar software. Just compare the editors of both products.
Wallpaper Engine is mostly for placing videos and html pages as desktop background.

DesktopPaints Support, but it is. Both aim to place a live wallpaper on your desktop. And no, Wallpaper Engine is not "mostly for placing videos and HTML pages" as your desktop background. Saying that is only being disingenuous. As it stands, Wallpaper Engine provides a lot of functionality but with a steep learning curve when it comes to their wallpaper editor.
This is where your software, "Animated Wallpaper Maker 5" excels. Most users can use your software within two minutes of opening the program, unlike Wallpaper Engine.

Duncan, I did not attend to be disingenuous. AWM already has two hundreds of different animation and tools. Is it possible to make animations like this in Wallpaper Engine?

DesktopPaints Support, Yes to both. There isn't anything your software can do, that Wallpaper Engine can't do.
Please keep in mind, I'm in favor of your software. Mainly due to the fact that it's extremely simple to create some very nice wallpapers. Wallpaper Engine does not have such an easy to use editor like your "Animated Wallpaper Engine 5" has. That's a strong suit your software has, and that's why I recommend people to give your software a go because they'll be making some great looking wallpapers within minutes of starting it up.
