If the examples bundled are anything to go by then it shoes what is possible.

For the price though I would recommend bundling the screensaver and animated wallpaper products into 1.

I think that animated wallpapers are of more interest to people. Screensavers had their popularity height back in the late 1990's/early 2000's.

DesktopPaints makes nice software, though IMHO regular use of their animated desktop & screen savers is better suited to lower powered rigs. Both apps rely on the GPU, and if you have a separate or discreet graphics card it'll use more power and generate more heat -- it's up to you of course if it's worth it. On another note their software also includes stuff for auto-updates that add a very slight amount of bloat -- not enough to really matter much but useless if you don't buy a license. I normally copy the important bits from a copy installed in a VM.

mike, The complexity of output is not enough to stress out any GPU in any way.

I tested out on what is now an old Cherry Trail Z8350 with basic Intel HD Graphics and it doesn't touch performance at all.

How do you start this program. Installed, but no link, no entry in MS Windows menu.

Why does it take so long to get a link sent to my AOL email? Can we not contact AOL and express to approve GOTD links?

The GOTD email with the link for the day's giveaway is sent instantly -- I no sooner hit the Get the Link button & a notification pops up that it's hit my outllook[.]com inbox. What GOTD cannot control is the route their emails take to get to you, and there are spam filters every step of the way -- one of those is the likely culprit for the delays you experience. It could be AOL, it could be your service provider etc., but whichever is at fault, they are unlikely to upgrade their system(s) no matter how nicely you ask them to.
