Like #15, Teacher-Michael, I wouldn't normally get too excited over a collage maker but this one is a keeper for me. Easy to install and run with an almost unlimited variety of designs - a simple collage of photos being only one. If you have a screen capture program, it can also be used to create some rather attractive web graphics/pages for your web site. Hardly no learning curve required ... just jump in and "play". The "drag 'n drop" on templates did not work for me (I'm using Win 7, 64 Bit) but double-clicking, on the area containing the photos, then selecting photos did ... perfectly.

#16, Bria, the zip file is standard so I'd guess you have a corrupt file if you are unable to unzip it with most any app (std Windows, WinZip, etc.) I'd just delete your original file and download it again.

It says it can create a facebook cover, but there is no option to create one. So I'm guessing if you do it ALL by hand, then yes, you can do it.

Bit unfair for them to mention it then have no option to do it... its like saying this collage maker can create a passport photo .... yes it probably could... but so can many other programs.

Sometimes you may need a collage, one picture tells you more than a slideshow.
I tried other collage makers, I haven't met a perfect one yet.
This one is a nice alternative, working well (for the first try).

Surprisingly big zip file (111MB) but dozens of backgrounds and frames are included.
It has templates for CD/DVD covers.

Other free alternatives: Collagit, Fotor

I prefer Fotor, but this Photo Collage Maker one is one other to keep.

I downloaded it, registered it and tried it out. Pretty standard little program with neat templates. I may use it just for the calendar collages but it's cute. It's a great product because it's free but I wouldn't pay for it.

This is a good tool! No fuss, works great for its purpose, sufficient options for my use. Intuitive interface. Keeper.

@ #16 Bria; Sometimes if that happens you can use a download manager. I use firefox's add-on called down them all and open the files with it, it does open ones that are stated corrupt just using the regular download method.

Can today's sofware make a collage in which each photo has an HTML link to go to a different page. Say I want to use it for recies and want a picture in collage to click to go to cakes, another collage image showing salads when clicked to take you to salads ecipes, etc. ?? If it can do this I want it, uless y ou have other ideas.

I tried to install this software but when after it downloaded and I tried to open the zipped file my computer didnt recognize the compressed zip file. What should I do?

I usually don’t get excited about collage makers but this one is deserving of a special mention. It’s cute! (if you’ll excuse the expression from a typically grouchy old guy).
It’s actually quite a bit more than just a collage maker, more functional and a lot more fun to play around with. I recommend you give it a try. I’d even consider buying it if it weren’t free today. Thank-you AmoyShare.

I gave my thumbs everytime BEFORE reading other comments. Karl´s comments are good but I think they don´t change the voting.
This tool becomes a down because (like you said) it´s for children - not more.
Such toys I don´t like on my system - certainly not so large (110MB).

This program is okay for those who want to create collages for sharing /printing it and remembering all those good times.The performance is fairly good.I don't have a reason to use another collage maker because of hundreds of apps available for this kind editing.

AmoyShare’s Photo Collage Maker is nothing else than Pearl Mountain’s Picture Collage Maker, as evidenced by the fact that, while AmoyShare is supposed to have been incorporated this year, Photo Collage Maker has already reached its version 4.1.2!

So, if you already have Picture Collage Maker 4.0.1 offered here a year ago (http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/picture-collage-maker-4-0-1/#more-47580), consider this one a simple update. You can uninstall the old Picture Collage Maker but have a look first in its folder (in C:\Program Files). Some backgrounds, frames etc might be absent in the new version. I didn’t take the time to check, but I assume if you copy and paste them in the new program’s corresponding folders, they will work. (One of you might tell us.) Also, make sure you have downloaded all the available free extrapacks on Pearl Mountain site. They can be accessed only from Picture Collage Maker menu and might differ from the ones you can import from Photo Collage Maker menu (in options).

That being said, today’s GOTD is a good program (if you are interested in that kind of product, of course), comprehensive and user friendly.
My favorite, though, remains the excellent Photospills (http://www.photospills.com/home.htm), free, but you have to register after a few days.

Installed and registered without problems, opened up to a simple interface.
Put it through its paces and it seemed to work well.
When looking through the background folder found that all the images were simple JPG files and so decided to add one of my own which the program accepted and displayed as a choice.
Clip art images were in PNG did the same there and the program accepted it, so it looks like you can add your own images to expand the range.
A nice simple program to use that is quite versatile so if you're into this kind of program probably worth getting.

Hi, blimey, I must be in better mood today than Karl (sorry Karl:) Downloaded and quickly tested this Program before any Comments appeared, so at least on this occasion didn't take anyone's word for it, especially it's 'cute', but pleasant and polite (that's Chinese through and through) description and promise on their Site. Come on, where is harm in looking into this Software's content? That's the first thing any creative/artistic soul (and junkie:) will look into first: Goodies! Templates, frames, shapes a.s.o.. Yes, we already have seen most of them here and there under different 'roofs', or as distributed packs online (free and paid) - but this Photo Collage Maker has a good enough selection of them to make a decent first impression. Has ability to frame individual photos, makes cards, posters and multi-pic collages. So far I tested few frames and could tell the images fit in them without problem and bother of manual resizing. That's surely a good sign! What's more, that simple process (here framing) can be saved straight away and file named by user as 'anything', so no danger of accidental overwriting and losing originals. That's good too.
I intend to give it further try when time allows me. Thank You GOTD and Amoyshare for this creative and fun Gift:)

The program needs about 110MB room on my HD. Of this, nearly 60MB are reusable pictures. It it not clear to me if I may use this pictures outside the giveaway in mails and documents. Please clarify.

I like the program. Everyone should take note that after the license code in successfully inserted, you need to close out of the program and restart it, or else there's a message telling you that you only have 15 days left to use it, on a trial basis.

Very easy to use since what you have to do is simply following the tutorial and the software does the job with no hassles.

Collage photos are with good quality and the huge selection of templates provided enables you to use the photo collage for many different purposes.

So give it 68% THUMBS DOWN is simply ridiculous, but I noticed that the USER RATING system is often related to what Karl says in his comment. So I suspect that many people here give any GAOTDs a THUMBS DOWN without even trying them, especially when KARL ends his comment saying "uninstall via reboot" (namely nearly always).

Karl's comments are good but KARL is not the POPE or GOD, as he's just an ordinary blogger as me and many others, so if he says "uninstalled via reboot" it doesn't mean that the program is bad.

Please at least try the software given away here before giving it a THUMBS DOWN without any reason, otherwise the risk is that any serious developer out there will ever release his flagships here in the future.

And if you don't need the kind of program offered, just skip voting it!

Nice Application. Templates are a bit outdatet, not to say, silly. But that is a matter of taste.

I think my children will like it. But your tip FAQ4 doesn't work. You can change the language from English to English, no other languages available, not even Chinese...

Installed and registered without problems on a Win 8.1.2 Pro 64 bit system. The registration dialog comes after the first run.

Yes: Chinese the software is digitally signed Chengdu PearlMountain Technology Co., Ltd - and we had from this company CollageIt Pro 1.9.4 on June 12, 2014.

The program start is a wizard to select some presets. If you select a "blank" page, the resizable screen of the normal program appears. The program has a lot of templates, many in the "Chinese" style. The use of the program is simple and working. If you like to make photo collage, this is the right software. In my short test it has everything,, you'll need to make a quick collage of your favorite photos.

Does what it claims. But what a pity, it didn't make my life better, healthier, more rich and beauty is still missing at my age..
