Basically it stops working as it reverts to the "Trial" version. My old copy from here had expired and that is what I got when I loaded it up. Stated I could download up to 3 videos in the trial mode.

Hi SewMagical, the one-year license will expire after one year. If you want to keep the license forever, you can subscribe to the lifetime plan, which only costs $25.

I've been using JDownloader for about 12 months. Works well never a problem.
It also gives Subtitles when they are available on each movie.

does anyone uses jdownloader, and has a direct comparison with this one?
as far as things are, i have been using jdownloader for the last 10 years, it does its job perfectly, and its free, but i am always curious about other (especially if they usually want money for it alternatives!

I use jdownloader and have an older version of AnyVid at least 8.?? because when I started it just now it asked to update to 9.00
As you can see it was not used
reason 1 login
reason 2 no addon for browser
reason 3 any downloader of value needs constant updates to function well(a real problem for giveawayoftheday)
if 10.1.0 is the same I do not know for the following reason from their website

This is probably irrelevant for you since you don't use AnyVid, but figured I'd post this so that others know.
With regards to "reason 3" above, the need for constant updating: AnyVid can be updated to any newer version and retain the ability to use it until the 1-year subscription expires.
