Per my calendar, it is not October yet (still March), but the giveaway on October 14, 2014 clearly stated that it was a one-year license (https://www.giveawayoftheday.com/amoyshare-anyvid-2/), yet my copy from that install shows 0 days left today (and that a new version 7.8.0 is available). When I installed that version, I did screen captures of all the install steps, activation, etc., so I know the license worked back in October. Odd that now it is zero days left now.

This giveaway on March 29, 2019, also states that it for a one-year license. Based on past experience, I cannot trust that to be the case. That leaves me with the task of removing the old version, which is minor since I used Total Uninstall to track it.

Having this dilemma would irritate many other users, but I am more than happy to be rid of it, and will share what I learned with others that use my recommendations.

Thankfully this is not the only downloader software available, and certainly not the only one we have been offered as a giveaway, so nothing significant lost.

I Downloaded and installed from GOTD and went to https: website in read me file and downloaded again from there and it was a done deal for a year. Win 10 64 bit but have not tryed it as of yet.

Yes it states only Windows Version in the giveaway-the account does NOT enable use the Mac OSX Version (i dont use .exe on my mac krypteller *g*).
But very interesting what your software does - first update and phone home (great to use little snitch so see in detail what happens).
Ok tried to install with VMware (setup crashes both x32 and x64 Version, just disappears from task manager; Windows 10), well it is free so no complains about $$.

The instructions say must log in with new email...cannot use previously registered email. Okaaaaaay...must get a new email to use the product. Well...then why does the page you're supposed to put the email in say

Unable to register, will have to uninstall if no help from AmoyShare.

Trying to start the app AmoyShare AnyVid crashes my VirtualBox win7 VM where I can monitor installation & 1st run. It's not the same, or even similar to the usual video converter with or without downloader capabilities -- instead it appears to be more a special build of the Chrome browser, based on the open source Chromium project, with ffmpeg code libraries added on for any conversion. Unlike most apps, and the Chrome browser for that matter, AmoyShare AnyVid is installed to the Users\ [UserName]\ AppData\ Local\ Programs\ folder, with an additional folder to hold caches etc. in Users\ [UserName]\ AppData\ Roaming\.

will it record DMCA protected content or no?

For music and video, AnyVid and AnyMusic are my favorite downloaders. They are quick and easy. I did not download this trial, because I already have a lifetime license for AnyVid. I can easily select format (video or audio) and often quality. Occasionally, I will get a "geographic restriction" or "copyright restricted" error message with a failure to download. Sometimes waiting and trying later helps. Otherwise AntDownloader usually is a good, less-convenient program for reliably downloading these troublesome ones. I really like the AnyVid's ability to batch download playlists and deselect ones you don't want in the batch.

Admittedly, registration is tricky. If you have any other Amoyshare promos and giveaways, you need to use a unique, different email. I found this out a year or so back by emailing the developers. Frequently, I have needed to re-enter my login email and passwords on my Amoyshare software, so real email is preferred. Updates within the same major version, even on the giveaways, have always continued to work for me. The same account typically works on my desktop and laptop. But, on giveaways, I still intall them within the giveaway window.

Installed on Windows 7 pro 64 bit system. When launched, Icon appears on task bar. Icon allows to minimize and restore, however nothing ever appears on screen.

Registration process is a nightmare (saying as a person installed thousands of software, games, apps to any kind of system and platform, including to calculators)
There is no browser plugin to download directly from video websites.
There is no full playlist download, except from websites like YouTube, which thousands of free downloaders already exist.
I do understand this is a free giveaway, and I appreciate your generosity, but you do sell this for almost $40,for just one year, and it is a lot of money, on a lot of parts of the world, even in America, it is a lot of money.
So, thank you I will use it until I replace it with something more useful.

64-bit program installed, taking an extremely long time, but will not start! I am uninstalling!

Is the working principle of AmoyShare AnyVid cloud based?
Is the Video URL transferred to a AmoyShare server to get the download link or does this tool work self-contained only locally without external help?
Do you (AmoyShare) have a privacy notice?

After the one year license has expired, what happens to the videos that you've downloaded?

Version does NOT work on Mac, i can install it and download it, but giveaway seems to work only on Windows :-(
