I recieved a response from Allavsoft after I sent an email for help through a different email address I used in error & sent a new one explaining I sent in error the wrong email Addy & sent the correct email address I downloaded with which David Stated "We will support it in the future". & "currently, you may use the copy and paste option". I need to use different email addresses for different categorys dor tax purposes & other. I deleted the software.

I Downloaded & installed, it seemed to Download successfully. I Then went to Option button then extension button. Now, when I look at Firefox extension it says "uninstall" instead of "install". Then, I went to Firefox extensions it states
"Allavsoft Firefox extension could not be verified for use in Firefox & has been disabled". What now?

Downloaded fine and found that the registration number worked fine. I put any name in the name field and copied (being careful not to have any preceding tailing spaces) the reg. # in. It worked fine as it started.
I downloaded a video from YouTube and three from Facebook that were not YouTube embedded. It downloaded in the highest resolution they were uploaded at. It was simple and captured the memory when I copied the url. I then took and converted a few of those into various forms, including an audio only. It worked great on all counts. I'm pleased with it.

This is basically a youtube downloader, correct??

The program will not register. It claims my registration is overdue. Entering the code does nothing. Can I get some help here, please?

Well install and registering went fine:
Extensions (Chrome and FF) fail (browsers disable them)
Up to test a manual download.. first no go (likely no connection possible..ok
Second one from g.docs : estimated dl size 2.2 Gb time (not completed) around 35 minutes (download speed settings not of influence).
From same source you are able to dl directly : size 1.5 GB ? increase of around 700 Mb ? Dl time 5 minutes...
Na sorry.. extensions no go, size differences, speed etc...

The option to obtain the link via email is not working. Add the email address, uncheck the email subscription box (since I'm already receiving the newsletter) tap the green button... nothing happens.

This has some use for orphan videos or some that are listed as private. but i find that many videos don't offer a URl to copy so i use a down loader that identifies then grabs the and present the videos in offered sizes and formats.

Downloaded, Installed, registered and tried for a YouTube Tutorial Video. It worked flawlessly. In fact the download speed was phenomenal compared to all the other results I get in download speeds. It does the conversion automatically to mp4 with default settings. The quality of the resulting video is excellent. Noted the other features it has available, but have not yet tested them. Will need to download more videos and then test the Merge feature.

Just for the downloader and converter, this is definitely a keeper!

Downloaded and LOVE it! I have been looking for something that would seek and download videos and music from the page of a group I am in so that I can listen to them over and over. All the programs I have tried come back with the message - not a page type that is supported. Allavsoft simply asked - do you want only the first video or all of them?!!! to me, the Conversion part is a waste, because in general, i'm against transcoding

download from youtube worked fine
downloaded audio & video separately, then merged them together (which is fine)

i don't think it uses a "sniffer"
or any type of "internal database" of sites it knows of
but rather relies (mostly) upon youtube-dl.exe

a failed download simply says "failed"
no mention as to reason
i'd suspect that in most cases, the particular site is simply unknown to youtube-dl.exe

also has a "recorder" component, that i did not look at

some of the controls were too small - for me, like the 3 boxes in the Activity window

the Firefox extension is not going to work

& then, it appears it may rely on some dll's that may also thwart it from working in

Worked well to download from "paste URL" and convert a youtube video, but functions at the top "Merge" "Convert" and "Download" are gray and do nothing? Did not always convert to chosen format (mp4 instead of DivX) ?

Downloaded, Installed and Activated with no problems on my Win10 machine using Edge as my browser. Don't have time this morning to give it a run through but the activation was so fast and smooth, not to mention easy that I have very high hopes for this piece of software. It's "right on time" for me too, as the one I've been using has stopped downloading most adult sites and many other sites. The list of sites supported by this is quite impressive imho. It's a keeper for sure if it works on even half the sites it says it does. If it doesn't ....... well, lol, I'll be back to tell you!

Followed the step by step on the Web site to d/l Netflix videos figuring that it'd be nice to be able to watch some videos when i have no or slow WiFi. Despite the procedure adhering to instructions, the d/l stayed at 0% (hung). My guess is Netflix isn't interested in having its streaming content d/l and so has added a block to such softwares as this. Curiously, the d/l did not ask for my Netflix userid or pwd.

May and likely works for other sites such as Youtube but I was interested in the Netflix only to extend the benefit I get from my monthly subscription there.

How do I register it? I don't see any place to register.

Excellent software: it can automatically identifies the url that you want to download, asking you after a few seconds whether you want to download one video or all in batch. A keeper!

Positive:
copying links into the software results in fast downloads from YouTube. Other downloaders have failed at the same links.

Negative:
No integration into the current browser releases. The AddOn installation for example on Firefox failed.

Still because of the positive aspect I will keep this software.

Downloaded, installed and registered very easily on Windows 10 AU 64 bit.

Tested by downloading and converting a 146 mb YouTube video. Downloaded and converted to MP4 in 3 minutes 16 seconds, which is fairly impressive. Tested on three different players and worked perfectly on all three. Before you ask, the three players were VLC, Windows media player and Zoom player.

Subsequent downloads yield the same excellent results so this is a definite keeper. Thank you GAOTD and Allavsoft.
