For everyone reinstalling & losing their database: Go to C:\Program Files\AllMyMovies\databases, rename the sample file to whatever you want to name it & your data is saved. To access it, go in the program & click "Database... & then open. Open that file & wha-la! Even if you re-install the program your file is saved. Have fun. Now any chance anyone has a name & serial key to share?

due to system crash i lost the whole database created by this software. can this sdoftware be provided for one mopre day plz. i wld be really grateful.

It could be a very nice piece of software, but many features are so badly implemented and there's several bugs that fixed in a version released just a few days after this giveaway.

Unfortunately, I already invested many hours entering my DVD information into the program.

It does say that you can't upgrade it. That's right on the site and included in the readme.txt files that come with all the programs. It always says NO FREE UPGRADES, that's part of the deal. It's not an extended trial, you get full registered and licensed use of the current version with no features blocked. If you want upgrades you have to buy them. If you tried to get a free upgrade anyway then you either forgot about the NO FREE UPGRADES or just tried to pull a fast one.

Guess thats a bit to late ... But it should really say that you cant upgrade it. Because if its non upgradable versions you get here, its not a real giveaway of the licence, but more of a longer trial version ... Great software, but really anoying to have it upgraded into a trial version right after registering all mye dvds into the database :(

Well, I downloaded this software - LOVED IT! Then today, I saw an update was available so I downloaded it through the program. DO NOT CLICK ON THE UPDATES! This deleted my whole database and reverted this to a 30 day trial. Wish I had known NOT to get the update.

All my work down the drain - oh well.

I have to tell you that this software is great!! I downloaded it, installed it and went to work. After all was said and done, all 365 of my DVD's are in the inventory and have all the information associated with them. I'd been using an Excell spreadsheet to keep track, name only. This is sooooo much better!! Thanks again for offering it!

This program is great...I entered our entire dvd collection. Works great. I entered the bar code; the program then finds the movie details and cover art off the internet. Great way to catalog your collection. Thanks!

#35 problem solved, error was due to obsolete/incomplete MDAC and JET database components, instalation of relevent latest service packs and patches allows it to work fine.

This program is awsome. I have a very large dvd collection and for the last 8 years i have been recording all the movie stats by hand. this will save me alot of hard work. thanks a whole lot.

It's not about hurt feelings or being right or wrong. You have a problem on your computer that needs attention. It's likely spyware picked up elsewhere.

We found out about spyware after my stepson had been going to questionable sites that promised "cheat codes" for PS2 games and clicking on links and attachments in junk email from online gaming sites. Computer started acting strangely, we suspected spyware and got a few commercial anti-spyware programs. Sure enough, there was spyware, adware and a key logger. Thankfully all gotten rid of via the anti-spyware programs. Please note that anti-virus programs alone will NOT protect your system from all spyware.

If there are children or young teens using your computer without supervision (especially on the internet) then it's defintely an avenue to explore. We didn't know he had been going to questionable sites on the sly, and have since added an internet lock as well.

On my win98 First Edition(FE) laptop I get a class not registered error and the product fails, I let it send off its debug emails back home just 'cause I am nice that way LOL. On my Win98SE desktop it loads up fine and opens the sample database file OK too!

As there is no tech support I won't bash my brains out to try and sort the class not registered issue out, it could be many things... this is not a standard win98FE instalation, it has parts of SE and parts of win2K here and there where MS fixed the win2k variant of the component but not the win9x variant. I have windows media player 9 installed on this and that is supposed to be IE 6 and win98SE min requirements and I use IE 5.5sp1... so it could be anything!

My point isn't to be right or wrong. I'll gladly be wrong. What I found was true and if it isn't from the games then obviously I need to continue looking down other avenues of where I got this Radmin. (My point was not to hurt your feeling Site Seer.) Anyway...the fact that no one else is having a problem is a clue to me as well.:)

well I'm sure this is a nice program,.. and I'd sure like to try it for myself, but I keep getting a "Fatal Error: Key is invalid" when I try to open it up.

Can anyone fix?

On the spyware issue:
Every piece of software we put on this website goes to me first, where it is autoscanned by antivirus/antispyware.
Then, it goes to our tech manager which runs another antivirus/antispyware (different vendor) all the time.
There were no spyware in the packages we received from vendors.
If you have Radmin on your computer and you never installed this software, there might be a trojan hiding in your system that downloaded this legit software and installed parts of it to control your computer remotely.

I love this software! I was able to input well over 100 movies in less than 35 minutes. Very low learning curve. I was able to customize it to my liking. Thank you so much for this great software!

Sorry,but you're wrong:

1. Radmin is a legitimate piece of software created by Famatech, it is NOT spyware.
2. Radmin has never been offered by GiveAwayOfTheDay
3. There is absolutely NO spyware in any of the programs offered by GOTD, either from this site or from their game site.

In this household we have d'loaded and installed several of the programs offered by both this site and their game site. We own several spyware protection programs that are completely up-to-date and always running. Yet we have never gotten ANY alarms from the programs offered by this site or their game site. GOTD is legit, please stop trying to disparage them.

Yet again, the software you have offered is quite useful, fixing one of my Website's problems.

Seems you offer software that fixes another issue I'm having every day. Are you spying on me? Just kidding.

Speaking of bugs, it seems that the top right bar that links the software section and game section of the site seems to be on the wrong software. It is showing the software you had yesterday! Is that intended because the server trouble made you need to re-open an old project? Or do you need to fix that? Keep up the good work!

Also, as a rebuttal to Jennifer's negitive comment; if you don't like the program, then don't use it. It's free, so there's no reason to say "I would never pay for this" since you didn't have to anyway.

Also, instead of insulting the author, you could offer suggestions for improvements. Sometimes this comes out in your favor, like receiving the improved software free, even after it costs money again. It has worked that way for me before.

Okay...but Radmin was in with some of the games I've downloaded from here and it is a remote administrator. Why would there be any kind of remote administrator in the uninstall files?

It looks cheap. None of the graphics are original, the interface is blocky and unattractive, nothing looks finished. The formatting of the movie information looks like a badly designed webpage that's been created in Frontpage. Some nice features, but it's been put together extremely poorly. I would never pay for this and I'm uninstalling it as I type.

I got some spyware notices with a few of the giveaway of the day programs called RAdmin...it is a remote administrator. Why would these programs need this in the programs uninstall files?
