It's sad that so many leap to worst possible conclusions instead of thinking outside the bx. Sure, pedos and deceitful types exist, but voice changers also allow:
a storyteller to play multiple roles when creating audio books or just read stories to grandkids;
educators to use different voices for instructional videos; and
virtual word business owners to use different avatars as owner or customer service rep.
All very useful functions, legitimate and definitely non-juvenile functions.

#10 George,

So George would you prefer that the Good People behind GiveawayOfTheDay.com submit each piece of software to be promoted to various law enforcement and intelligence bodies before they list it each day?

Take a Chill Pill dear chap.

The makers of this program almost certainly have put a Back Door in the program so that if it is used for any unlawful purposes, involving ransom/blackmail etc., then "The AUTHORiTiES" can use the back door to undo the morphed/changed voice of the reprobate who is using the program for nefarious purposes.

Hi, today's Giveaway no doubt belongs to category called 'gimmicks', or 'fun', and we are probably more used to see this type of Software offering us creating distorted/morphed faces, or being placed in variety of realistic scenes 'elsewhere in the world' - either in form of static pics or videos and consider that as innocent fun. However when it comes to voice distortion - we cannot help ourselves, but see it being practiced in somewhat sinister circumstances, and not just 'pure fun', or pranks played on one another..

Are we over-reacting? Perhaps. Blame watching too many films where villains not only put masks on, but often make sure their voices are distorted, blame sinister videos of terrorists blasting their messages on telly and Internet using some voice distorting technics and finally sad, sad 'category' of predators mentioned by User called George..So is it something about voice?..Distorting it for shire silly pranks, or something indeed chilling? Naturally the list of possibilities and/or misuse of practically anything in 'no good way' is endless.

I doubt very much intentions of Publisher of All-in-One Voice are anything else than to provide some fun, and fun only indeed. If anything it can be wasted on many Folks, who (like me) prefer to put on silly voices using my own imagination and, ..er skills:) Don't be too hard on either fans of this Software, or those who are concerned for reasons humbly portrayed in this comment.

Karl : I found the option "English" up right.
http://www.qqvoicechanger.com/en/ No problem, but no need.
If it can't make me sing, forget it. My 5 year gammle daughter threw me out of the room at bedtime:
- Go out, Dad, you sing so badly.

By the way, tnx Karl. I allways wait for your test.

I can see the pros and cons of both sides of using this software.

From my own tests I was capable of changing my pitch so it does what it states as per description.

I personally have no real need for this software so I have uninstalled and rebooted my system.

Can this also make cartoon voices sound like normal voices? I already sound like a rabbit.

'It is 2014 and the internet is a pedophile’s playground.'

Paedophilia is not a new thing and has been around for centuries, if not millennia.

There isn't one on every street corner.

But hang on a minute.

Somebody COULD drive a car with intent to cause harm.
Somebody COULD go down to their local petrol/gas station and purchase fuel to cause arson.
Somebody COULD use a knife and fork as lethal weapons.

Get the picture?

Furthermore, if you look at the statistics regarding paedophilia, most instances are within the family or by somebody known to a victim.

Stop believing all you read in the newspaper headlines and start to question it!

I realize this is for voice, but can I use this software on a solo acoustic guitar to slow it down?

I had issues with this software initially. I would hit test, record my test message, then attempt to play it back. All I got was crackles.
To fix this, I simply hit "Help", then chose "About", "General", and finally "Voice Changer"
In that menu, select the appropriate audio input device, then click save. If you don't know your system, it may take you a few tries.
Outside of it failing to auto detect my mic, and trying to use some unknown device as a mic, the program works. Granted, my kids will likely find more uses for it than I will. Frankly, it doesn't have enough control options for me to find many practical uses for outside of pranking.

While this could be handy starting point for those of us who haven't practiced at being a seiyuu, changing of pitch like this app does is only part of the equation. (A seiyuu is a Japanese-origin term for a "voice acting specialist", the actors that add voices to anime)

Actually creating a new voice also involves factors like accent, dialect, inflection, speech mannerisms and almost a dozen other details that software cannot yet handle.

This program also lacks the ability to control the amplitude of the base frequency in addition to its pitch. The base frequency has most of the audio power but doesn't carry much information, and is what is stripped out in SSB radio broadcasts to save bandwidth. The audio result of cancelling the base frequency makes us sound like Donald Duck's relatives. (Apologies to the late Clarence Charles Nash, who was Donald Duck's seiyuu)

*** Questionable Character Alert ***

This piece of software combined with another that was given away here earlier (don't remember the name, no need for it) that allowed the user to 'morph' Skype (or other streaming video/audio) to produce a false image could be used by online predators. All they would need is a program that could hide/mask/change IP addresses. Oh, wait a minute - that's been given away here before as well.

I am saddened this is being given away. I did not and will not test this software. Thumbs down for being what it is.

*NOTE* - Neither Yahoo Messenger nor Skype are secure anymore. IMHO noone should be using Skype or Yahoo Messenger. I know nothing of QQ International.

**NOTE** - I realize the program itself is not good or bad (how one uses it is either good or bad), but let's be real here. It is 2014 and the internet is a pedophile's playground. This is a toy a pedophile would bring to play with.

I can use a program like Audacity to change the pitch of my voice in a recording. I don't have any use for it on Skype, which I don't use anyways.

Aside from being a bit of a toy, I can't see a practical use for this program. It's the sort of thing someone might use a few times and then forget.

I'll probably be voted down for saying the obvious (to most people, I'll warrant) but it would be a lot MORE USEFUL, to more people, if they had offered their AthTek Skype recorder.....

I have no need to change my voice on calls. (Come to that, I, and I am sure many others, can do a range of voices -- and ACCENTS, which I doubt this programme can do -- that would fool friends FOR A WHILE, if ever needed.)

Obviously, it is just a gimmick -- and I have no interest in gimmicks, just possibly useful programmes. Which GAOTD does provide, once in a while, and for which I am grateful.

But this? Quack!

Their 'Free Google Desktop Translator' works just fine.
Needs no installation - is one file of 333 kilobyte.
Not beautiful, but way faster than a browser with translate.google.com

Installed and registered without problems on a Win 8.1.2 Pro 64 bit system.

A Chinese company - here is the original homepage... can you read it? I cant't, but I see the pictures...

http://www.qqvoicechanger.com/

A simple interface opens, you can change the language from English to English, in the about you don't know whether it is registered or not - and the test failed with the message :

http://www1.xup.to/exec/ximg.php?fid=17532286

Hmmmm... what to say?

Well, surely an interesting program for those who want to chat with little girls as a little boy or to bark with your dog as a cat.

Could not test it - even if it would work, I have no use for this.

Uninstalled via reboot and by the way -

I have uninstalled for some time the ProcessLasso, too. It made more problems than benefits... at least on my machine.

Downloaded and installed successfully. Can change the voice modulation from higher to lower tone. Good for playing prank with friends. But at one time while testing the voice I encountered audio encoder problem. Why??
