I have a feeling that the problem I'm having activating is that I installed it on "XP Pro"; the "Sys Requirements" above state all Windows OS, but something tells me that is not the case.
In any case, the install seemed to go smoothly, the program opened, and I entered Name, Email, and Phone and it continued smoothly, then clicked on "Activate Now" and entered the "key" and clicked "Activate"; that's when the problem started and gave me the following:

I installed and then uninstalled. Malware Bytes wouldn't let me even access their website. The program is poorly done. Looks like something from the 1980's. They also wanted a name, email and phone number. Be careful if you download this and do not give any personal info or financial info.

Many PDF documents are merely scanned images of the original, such as found in Google Books. Does this $99 program include OCR capability to convert to other formats? Searching for a word or phrase in a document full of images is a manual process only.

Set it to convert a pdf to word (.doc - no docx option) and got something that looks reasonable, shame about the multiple imbedded para markers and column breaks and other weirdness that makes the output unusable for anything other than printing, or massive manual effort.
Then set it to generate an excel output - again no new - .xlsx macro free filetype option just the .xls that many email and other facilities now consider such a massive security opening that the filetypes are not just quarantined, but banned!
Not really a problem as the resulting file had 25 worksheets, each with a header and NOT data
And the word document generated by the earlier conversion gets all crammed into single cells - again - unusable without substantial VBA scripts to separate the data into appropriate columns, OK that should be to get it into columns - let alone with the data as well aligned as the doc results looked to be.
Add the 1 year usage limit - and that's not going to make it out of the sandbox into a testing environment, let alone a get a recommendation to others.
Indeed the 'quality' makes me start considering the effort the GOTD are putting into vetting ( OK just looking) at their profferings

I have a basic question. How can there be a 79% user rating, as described above, and all the comments I've read are negative or very close to it, in nature? I guess I'm struggling with trying to find why everything offered is rated at least 70%+ approval, but the comments do not reflect that amount of percentages. Numbers never lie, so someone please tell me what's going on.

Contevou, the user ratings are generated by people clicking on the thumbs up or thumbs down radio icons located at the top of the page. The comments have nothing to do with the approval rating but are telling a they permit us to mark a particular part of the program/registration as unsavoury.

Sorry, but this is a HUGE fail. The company EXPLICITLY states the software can convert from PDF to PPTX. It is the the FOURTH feature listed in their Compare chart at their web site. https://www.akick.com/document-converter.html That's an essential feature for me. Imagine my huge disappointment when I discovered there is NO PowerPoint conversion feature for any of the PDF versions that I tried, even one that I converted to PDF today!! I clicked the "?" for help, and wound up at a basic FAQ sheet. Didn't want to write them off, though, so I tried their CHAT feature for support, but found, instead, a web page offering "24 hour support" and an 800 number. Rather than give up, I called and spoke with "Gary." He would not answer my question, but insisted I let him install a "Supreme" software that would allow him to log into my computer and take control. HUH?? I asked a simple question, which he declined to answer, and then want's full access to my computer? Really, this company seems incompetent or shady. Immediate uninstall. Sorry folks. GOTD folks, you do a great job and service, but this product is looking like a smoke and mirrors marketing exercise that may do a disservice to your loyal customers.

A K, I paid $99 for a lifetime license, Free pdf converter the free is limited on how many you convert at a time, with the lifetime license it converts almost anything to any other format. I've had it for 5-6 years and for me it has paid for itself many times over. I was paying another company $35-$45 per pdf to excel fill about 10,000 lines and 45 columns, four times a year to do this. I haven't found any errors in the conversion.

Sorry, this product has no OCR feature. I try it with several PDF with image embedded, does not work! Aimersoft or Wondershare PDF Converter will do the job better as far as OCR is concerned. Otherwise good results on pure PDF WITH and ONLY with tables.

Alan, thanks. Without OCR a converter program is a no go for me also. GOTD gave away Icecream PDF Converter some time ago which does do OCR and I am quite happy with that one.
