downloaded and installed software...when starting program a popup says giveaway of the day offer has expired.there is still over an hour left to register software. i wonder what happened ? it seems im not able to try the software. well thanks anyway.

To put things into perspective, this is not a video enhancer, but a video converter with a few bells and whistles.

When the product was still called a converter, it had the bells and whistles that this one has, so for whatever reason, the change is merely a marketing one.

That said, it has pretty much most of the features that you would expect from a converter and it also supports not only Nvidia and AMD graphics but also takes advantage of Intel Quick Sync.

I tested the Intel Quick Sync with a basic X265 conversion and it did so in real time, which showed that it did work and wasn't merely indicated, as some other products are guilty of.

BUT, no matter what options you use, if you take advantage of the enhancement bells and whistles then the conversion time will increase a whole lot, for what will often seem none or negligible improvement.

For what it does, it does it pretty well but I'm not convinced that it does enough that cannot be achieved with the free Handbrake, other than having better conversion times (although this may vary from SOC to SOC).

It is one that is better than most, if not all of the other products from the same region in the same category, so if you were to choose between this and so many of the other previous Giveways, this would be in the top 3 for prospective purchase.

$45 is too much though and I think that $20 would be far more tempting.

My question: Who in their right mind would take a 480p video and upscale it to 4K? That's like taking a turd, rubbing some 'turd'le wax on it, and looking at it through a pair of binoculars from 2 feet away. Who wants to make the already ugly, blurry imperfections of a DVD and make them 24X larger? Ludicrous!

I have a comment and a question and I hope the people from Aiseesoft answer it, first my comment, I am pretty much a novice in the techie computer world I had no problem downloading and applying the registration code to activate this software, now for my question, a box keeps popping up asking me to activate this other I guess software, it's called AMD OpenCL™ Accelerated Parallel Processing (APP), my PC is Intel not AMD, I am not sure if this download is necessary to run this program, if it is necessary can it harm my processor because like I said my PC is not AMD, please help with my question, first is this download necessary and two if it is is it safe for my Intel PC?

I am also puzzled at the number of people asking for help registering. This was one of the clearest and shortest set of instructions that I've seen here. And easiest and most straight forward registration processes. Are people not reading the readme.txt? That is all that I can think of. If not, why not? PCs won't be voice activated for at least several more years.

Means if you have used an old version before, then you cannot activate this software?
New users are given preference over old existing users.
This is like Facebook and other online sites giving more discounts to NEW users and old existing users are chucked aside.
The idea is to grow market share and attain dominance.

Instaled correctly, but does not execute.

No related record in Event Viewer, no thread in Task Mgr.

Out of 15 Comments so far, 15 are about folks not knowing how to register the software. Commentators are continuing to ask the same question even though the answer has been posted a number of times. There is not a single review of the software at this point. That is something I haven't witnessed here before today.

I did not have any issues registering the software.
Once the software installed, there was a Launch now check box, I clicked next and the software opened with a popup window over the software application. There it had the "Get Free Registration Code." button at the bottom left of the Popup.
Once note, If you used an email address for a previous product from Aiseesoft that you installed, I recommend using a different address for this one. For some reason, I used an email address I used for a different Aiseesoft product and never got an email.
Hence, I clicked the Get Free Registration Code button again and used a different email address and like magic instantly got a registration code email.

On first run, there was a registration window (black background and all), with the "Get Free Registration Code" button. Good thing I didn't just close all windows that usually appear when starting , to get to the software itself..

What AM I doing wrong? I managed to get the Enhancer effortlessly (after clicking the button for the reg.code once the program was downloaded), but then I added a video file, chose Enhance, checked the Effect option, put the Brightness video effect at a higher rate, the example shown below looked perfect, chose Apply and Close, Converted the thing and hit Complete. Opened the "new" video with much anticipation... and nothing whatsoever was different.
I am sure it must be me, but then WHAT am I doing wrong?
