I have to agree with #17, and I sometimes wonder if people actually try the software given away here before bashing it and offering alternatives. Aiseesoft software supports AMD APP and NVIDIA® CUDA™ GPU Processing acceleration technology and lists the supported cards on their website. DRM? well, if it is legal in your country try it out - ("Support the latest Blu-ray movies" under features might be a hint) That's two of the "BIG CONS".

The last so called "BIG CON" regarding re-burning to dvd is also the same issue with most of the offered alternatives. In a big chunk of the world it is now illegal to sell a single product with the intent of allowing end users to break drm AND do multiple reburns to media with the potential for distribution.

Depending on the software's country of origin, it may or may not break encryption, the vendor may or may not mention it as a selling point if it does, all depends on the local laws and laws where they are trying to sell it.
The most common sales method I have seen is to sell a ripping tool to allow you to "back up" your own personal disks to your own personal harddrive... Then sell a tool to convert formats... sell a burning tool... sell a copy tool... idunno, but there must be a reason they are usually sold as separate tools.
A little research before bashing a program is respectful to GOTD and above all respectful to the users that may trust and respect your input.

I wouldn't Care about downloading this software.....and $40..this is shit....there are more powerful freeware tools like handbrake and megui... which does a lot more jobs than this and it's free....I would recommended anyone not to download this....

#17 I think that this is valuable feedback, not just for the software producers, but for GAOTD it'self, and GAOTD's users.

For producers, if they are willing to listen, it can tell them what features or additions to a program could change an OK or so-so program an industry leader.

At Present don't have any blue ray, so don't need this!
But how many times do you go down the street and somebody puts their old movies, computers, game consules on the curve for free becus someone died or it's stuff too old for them! Got a super nintino game consule, games, a computer, movies, etc that way! So I'll download this becus one you rich dudes may die and leave your old bluray films out on curve for me!! Limited. I guess if your running your own media server and wanted to put your "vast" supply of BD's on your hard drive to enjoy on your home theater, this might be a nice pro to have. I use MP4 formats and avi because I can port my drive to other devices (Roku) for example. But untill you can put a MKV file on an ext hard drive and it becomes a standard, it's just another conversion program and they have become a dime a dozen. My goto is Aiseesoft's total media converter Platinum. As with all Aiseesoft's programs, easy to use and they do what they are designed for.

Well..have you ever noticed that whenever an AISEESOFT product is released here it scores a very high GAOTD user rating in a blink of an eye? This sounds very suspicious to me....

For instance, this GAOTD is no bad but it definitely doesn't deserve 71% THUMBS UP since it doesn't bypass any DRM protection out there and above all it doesn't support NVIDIA and AMD GPU acceleration, which is a BIG CONS for me. Besides that, as rightly noticed by Ashraf, with this tool you are not allowed to reburn any ripped Blu-rays movie into a new DVD and this is another BIG CONS for me because I don't like the idea of being forced to fill up the HD of my PC of huge movie and video files.

For all of these reasons I don't give it a THUMBS UP!

Of course this GAOTD is not able to convert video formats other than MKV, but I don’t see this as a con because MKV format has many advantages compared to other formats (to AVI or MPEG for instance), such as the fact that it’s OPEN SOURCE and supports menus and subtitles tracks, not to mention that it also supports virtually any video &audio format out there and can be played by almost any kind of video player nowadays (PotPlayer, VLC etc…).

Is it better than freeware RipBot264, which has possibility to choose compression quality, video bitrate, file format (mkv, mp4...), crop black corners and so on?

I like this company and its products but I think they are trying to sell the same application with some functionalities enabled or disabled with name that is a combination of words:

Did not test it yet because I don't have my blu-ray drive at home. Just look at the software in general and the developer's description. It is a nice blu-ray backup tool for users that can keep the original audio track and subtitles even 7.1 audio and 5.1 audio. I think Aiseesoft is a nice software provider that always provides their software free on GOTD. I have their last giveaway total video converter ultimate. It is a nice software.
