Wouldn' in stall !
Both 32-or-64 Bit checks (Sigcheck.exe and Properties compatibility) showed that Setup.exe is 32-bit.

After I disabled AVG and the Windows firewall it still would not run (in administrative mode).

After I downloaded the ZIP file , containing the installation EXE directly from the home page, I couild install and register, using the GOTD key.

Does this stilll force all calculations of years to be solar years and not calendar years? i.e. does it still always calculate a year to be 365.25 days and not 365 for a non leap year and 366 for leap year if Feburary 29th is part of the time duration calculation and 365 if it is not... The way this program has always worked leads to some unexpected AND unusable results in certain types of calculations.

TK,
I understand your suggestion.
Why we didn't do this because we detected that ADTC's users do not ONLY pay attention on [Year(s)] field, may be on day(s), hour(s), even second(s).

And your requirement:

Years between two dates: if just right 1 or a few years, e.g. 1998-12-23 ~ 2000-12-22, it can get results by visual inspection, if 1946-10-14 ~ 2021-02-15, years is: 74.341, taking the average value is the scientific approach.

A date +/- years: if it is a integer, do not need to use ADTC, it can get results by visual inspection. Usually, our clients use years with decimal, such as 2021-02-15 adds 8.423 years, this also needs to take the average value.

Your "year" means "The year" (this year), not "A year" (any year).

Hope you can understand our algorithm now.

TSS Support, I understand your approach only too well and when working from calendar dates it is completely illogical to use non-calendar based calculations. I believe you should provide an OPTION to calculate based upon solar years, that you currently use and calender years that MOST customers will want to use as found from giveaways where usually at least one person comments at how your 1 year on from a given date and time based upon a calendar date and UTC time ends up at an unexpected future date and time.
Many will not realise the inconsistancy when fractional multiple year periods are requested. And oops some statistical data caclulations suddenly grow serious errors. The choice of caclulation method must be discrete uncomplicated and easily comprehended by any user without consulting tech support or further documentation.

You'll need to disable your antivirus to install this one.
what would I do to improve it? It needs a way to paste the dates like the way it has with the reset button or make it right-click copyable so you can copy/paste the dates (ie. from the date you set in differences to the "from" in days of week) to different tabs.

Update to previous entry. Downloaded, extracted and installed program. Serial is found in the readme. Program works as specified. Has a few features you may or may not use.

Again, didn't see anything that I couldn't do on the net for free.

TriSun has switched to subscriptions for their software. Too bad. I liked Advanced Date Time Calculator because it does something other calculators of this type do not do. I also like Advanced Recent Access.

Kelltic,

Thank you for loving our products.

The lifetime licenses are still lifetime, and free lifetime upgrades.

Kelltic, It seems like if you have lifetime purchases from before the subscriptions, you dont lose them ;)

Leffi,

Yes, exactly. We cannot tear up the agreement unilaterally. This is the basic quality of a company.

I believe all of these features are already available free on the internet. Not sure why you would need to spend money on this program. Sure its free for a year, but $20 after. Likewise, using Excel to accomplish these calculations is nice, but the formulas needed to accomplish this are slightly beyond the average user's skillset.

Here are three free website resources:

https://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadd.html

https://www.calculator.net/date-calculator.html

https://goodcalculators.com/days-calculator-converter/

PS: I still plan to download and try this GAOTD.

John Davidson,

Yes, there are a few online tools can do A FEW things of ADTC.

Pass the third-party tools, we also has the FREE online tool:

https://www.trisunsoft.com/free-web-tools-online/days-counter-date-time-calculator.htm

Have not done an in-depth investigation, just guess that our ADTC desktop tool has gained a large number of users for the following reasons:

1. All-in-one, contains 6 calculators.
2. Convenient.
3. Clean. No redundancy and interference.
4. Works without Internet (only registering license needs Internet).
5. Efficient. Such as using , , keys to input fast.
6. Shows Result Instantly. Without Click even press .

Usually, to finish a work, we have more than one ways, e.g. we can copy, delete files in DOS command line, BUT, most users choose to do these in File Explorer. We can visit a site by pressing and typing URL and then , but usually we typing URL in the address bar of browser, etc.

Hope this helps.

Sorry, GOTD's comment system will remove things between angle brackets, so made a few fixings.

Nice, but the difference in dates/time can easily be calculated in excel-sheet, with multiple records. In a worksheet, the values are kept unlike this programme.

Rob Brugman, quite right about using Excel, but there people that can't use it, find it too difficult or just dislike it. I have been using a freeware program that is almost identical to this and find it quice, easy and convenient without having to use Excel which I'm a big fan of.
