I have the #15 problem
Installed on Windows 7 64bit desktop. Registered easily following the instructions. The pdf file imported fine. However, whenever I try to change the theme, it will not change. It just keeps showing the default scene over the water. I double-click on other themes, it looks like it might change, then back to default. I tried “Apply Change,” but still did not apply. I tried saving and re-opening, still no change. Too bad. I’ll look through the instructions more carefully, in case I’m missing something. But for now, it just does not seem to be able to change scenes. Any ideas on how to get it to work? I’d like to keep it, and maybe even recommend it to others.
I also tried what alice said
#15. You can go to “Scenes” tab to choose “None” to show different theme background
and I import themes and they do not show up in scenes
any help on this? i like it but will get bored fast with the one and only scene it lets me use

#10. It can drag and move to view the another part of the page
#15. You can go to "Scenes" tab to choose "None" to show different theme background
#25. Thanks for your advice, there is few web browsers which support HTML5 with 3D effect, we will develop after we have rip experience.

10 thumbs up (!!?) for Ashraf and Giovanni for their incredibly detailed reviews. Thanks!

I downloaded and installed, having in mind this might be useful for distributing genealogy information, particularly images of census, birth, death, marriage records to relatives. The program has a download feature, so once you create the Flipbook, others can download an image from a page. This is pretty ideal for dealing with genealogy images.
So I just went to a folder that contained some birth record images, selected them all, and had it import them. The results were less than optimal.
If set to default width and height, the program just uses the size of the first image to set the image size for all images. You'd think that might mean the other images would just be smaller, but instead they're cropped to the size of the first image.
Same for if you choose an image size. It will just crop the images, though I'm not too sure what it bases the cropping on. I set the image size to the width in pixels of my widest image and the height of the tallest, and it still cropped smaller images. There's no indication of what measurement units you need to set, either, so you don't know if you're setting pixels, inches, centimeters, whatever.
So I tried importing the images one by one, but that doesn't work because it just replaces the first image with the second, instead of adding the second image, even if you save the project and apply changes first.
There's no auto-rotate of images, either. So I'm not too sure why there's even the option of importing a folder of images or allowing multiple files to be chosen, because unless you've first taken the time to resize them all to the same size and orient them in the same direction, you end up with cropped images and images that are sideways AND cropped.
So unless all of your images are the same orientation and size, this is not a program to use as an easy means of distributing them to those in the family who are technically challenged, or displaying them on the internet.

Thank you anyway GOTD, but Flash is out for quite some time. iPads and iPods are not (and never were) Flash enabled and most modern mobile devices, such as Andriod, no longer have Flash plugins available for them so they also cannot see these page flip and other Flash player presentations.
How about making these with jQuery or HTML5 compatible?

the free alternatives work better on older pcs...thanks though

I am currently using AXMAG Digital Magazine creator to publish material to the web. (Stuff I want people to be able to browse but not easily download or print). AXMAG is simple and works very well.
Todays GAOTD also offers .exe creation. I like the creation of a wrapper. There are uses for it. But the 3D effect is "too dynamic". What do I mean? The dynamic shadows are making even a workstation Xeon system feel sluggish. The "tilt" feature and background are just toys and not appropriate for a professional publication. And the output files are a lot bigger, yet not better, than their AXMAG equivalent.
Todays GAOTD also has a bad unser interface that breaks windows API with forced size, incompatible with different DPI settings, and is generally less flexible in options than alternatives. The options that are there are really "toys" and skins.
Over the two, AXMAG is far superior. But if you don't have AXMAG, then this is worth downloading and installing. There aren't really and free alternatives. Those options suggested by (very helpful) Giovanni are a completely different kettle of fish, and do not allow you to take a PDF and quickly turn it into a live HTML document that you can embed in your website or vBulletin forum etc.

as funny it sounds, but my antivirus software started the show:
pdfto3dpageflip.exe:
trojware.win32.trojandownloader.delf.gen@117138821
when installing...and trying to run...
Very Interesting.

I agree with your points; however I discovered with regard to point #2 that you can click on the book page with your mouse to "grab and drag" the page. Not the most elegant thing, but at least you can move the page around. It would be much better if you could use the mouse scrollwheel to move up and down (instead of zooming), or even better, the arrow keys on the keyboard.

@ Kevin #14 . You can merge PDF files with Adobe Standard & Pro. I'm pretty sure there are other non Adobe PDF vendors that do the same.

Zoom feature is terrible. I viewed their demo on the website. If you use your scroll while in full screen it tilts the entire book, or to read the small text you need to expand the page but then can not scroll so you have to click and drag the book to where you can view it. Each page needs to be turned by dragging each one. Very tedious indeed. I don't think I will bother with this one. The price tag is very high as well.
I'm looking for a program similar to "Slide" Something that I can embed in my blog, and 1 that continually loops. Add it and forget it.

I'm a web-designer & developer, using this program for one of my clients that asked to create a PDF flip book (from a PDF).
I did a lot of research in order to find the most suitable program (I tested all programs in the market(looking for a free option first, then realizing that none has enough features) and this was the best (paid) option and the only ones to support RTL languages so there is a setting to flip the page from right to left.
It also had all the features I could think of - mostly customizing the player & background (I used a gradient that can be defined by start color & end color) and creating an index (very important for long books). The index even can import a text file in order to make things faster - I didn't expect so much so I didn't use it yet but I created an index manually.
Uploading to a website & embedding is very easy & straight-forward.
I created a customized template very quickly and I can use it again for this specific client (it's possible to even add a small logo to the player).
The result is very high-quality & good looking (as shown in Ashraf's full review).
I'd say that if you have a website or working as a web designer and considering to ever use a PDF flip-book - this is a must download. For a business the price is even cheap comparing with the other programs (that comes close in features). First I thought it was expansive but then I realized that for commercial usage it was the cheapest and without any real competition on features, even though they call it standard, I couldn't find any reason to choose the pro version.
It also has a huge bonus that aims to be compatible to mobile devices. Ashraf tested and found a bug in it but anyway, even just aiming to be mobile-friendly, since it's Flash that isn't supported by most mobile devices, is the way forward (the program creates a special version for mobiles). It worked on iPhone when we tested it.
For home use, I don't know how useful it can be (maybe as a present), for professional use - it rocks!

Today's giveaway is a very handy program if you own an INFO website and/or are eager to create compelling brochures & magazines in 3D.
Not sure how many people are used to read FLIPBOOKS on the net nowadays, but it could be a nice option to impress your readers/customers in order to stand out from the crowd and have more hits on your website(s).
Of course, it would be nice to enjoy the Professional version of this program as GAOTD one day, but the developer seems to disagree with me on this point....LOL!!
Apart from that, overall this GAOTD deserves a THUMBS UP!!
Ashraf didn't mention any FREE ALTERNATIVE in his excellent review, apart from the lite poor version of this program....so here you go:
http://www.flashbookmaker.com/free-flashbook-creator/index.html
As you can see it can convert a TXT file into a Flipbook with animations and sound, which can then be published to any websites of yours and easily viewed in any web browser, or even shared via email/CD-ROM.
So if you have a PDF file, first convert it into a TXT file and then use the above FREE tool to create a compelling FLIPBOOK from it, without paying a dime though.
To convert a PDF to a TXT file, without ACROBAT software installed in your machine, you can use any FREE ONLINE converter out there (ZAMZAR for instance) or better yet a great FREE app like UNIPDF, which enables you to convert any PDF files to TXT in batch mode, with all document texts, layouts, images and formatting perfectly preserved:
http://unipdf.com
PDFs ==> UNIPDF ==> TXT FILES ==> FREE FLASHBOOK CREATOR = PROFESSIONAL FLASH EBOOKS WITH ANIMATIONS & SOUNDS (Total Cost = 0/€ !!!)
Another excellent FREE tool designed to create professional PDF PRESENTATIONS with page transition effects, page advance time and background music is also this one:
http://www.rttsoftware.com/pdfrizator.html
And what if you could record VIDEOS from a connected webcam and then make printed FlipBooks of them on the fly for FREE??
Ok, Giovanni...this is too good to be true...stop telling BS, right?
You are dead wrong dudes!!
http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Mouser/FlipSuite/index.html
As you should know Flipbooks can be used to make professional online presentations instead of using PPT files.
So how about make great online presentations in FLASH format for FREE without having OFFICE installed in your machine?
http://www.powerbullet.com/index.php
As you can see from their blurb any presentations can be exported as Flash embedded in HTML format or even as an .exe file: cool, isn't it??
So who said we need to use Microsoft PowerPoint (= $$$$$, if you are not smart enough...hint hint...LOL!!) to create great online presentations?
And finally, if your main goal is to build professional PDF e-books, Help Files, guides, brochures and magazines literally in a couple of mouse clicks, this amazing FREE app may be the right tool for you:
http://www.2brightsparks.com/infohesive/features.html
Yes, you heard it right: it supports PDF, CHM, HTML, .Mobi and ePub, meaning your publications can be read by Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Kindle, Sony Reader & Mobile Devices users without any hassle.
How cool is that, dudes??
Enjoy!!
Ciao

It may be that if a pdf is designed with the purpose of it being converted to flip-book, this program is worthwhile. However, the conversion of typical pdfs results in two problems:
1. Viewed in normal full page mode, the type will be too small to comfortably read for a lot of people;
2. Viewed in zoom mode can overcome the type-size legibility problem, but it cuts off the bottom of the page and there is no scrolling up/down capability (as there is with a pdf). The only way to see the remainder of the page is to zoom out again. So it seems that the zoom is only effective for the top 3/4 of the page.
Am I missing something?

Probably the best flipbook software I've seen so far. i am deeply impressed how easily you can turn a plain PDF into a 3D Virtual Book as a beginer. thks for GOTD!!! thks for 3dpageflip!

This is a nice novelty, but the question people need to ask themselves is this: Do I want to scroll through a 100-page PDF or do I want to flip though a 100-page PDF? It’s tedious and mind-numbing either way.

version 2.6.2.
Save | Cancel
Works well on Win 7 Pro 64.
Bad Points:
Opens full screen, every time
No Minimise option when working on large PDF
Limited Zoom - only on single page view
Scene changer doesn't work
Cannot rationalise the use of the book flipping (not page flipping). No re-centering after book is flipped.

#2: This version is 2.6.2, newer than latest giveaway.
This program version can import:
- JPG
- PPT
- PDF
files to Flipbook!
And can customizable:
- preloader
- language
- password
I love flipbooks, and but this version not pro, good for personal use.

Pros
*Allows users to turn PDFs and image files (JPG/JPEG, PNG, BMP) into 3D flipbooks
*3D flipbooks can be outputted in website-ready HTML format, EXE, burned to CD/DVD, or uploaded to 3DP, an online flipbook sharing service run by the developer
*Output flipbooks can be zoomed, searched, and autoplayed; can have table of contents, bookmarked, or printed; can be downloaded or shared via Facebook, Google+, Twitter, MySpace, NetVibes, Digg, emailed, or embedded; be viewed in full screen; and more
*Gives users a large amount of control over the behavior of flipbooks
*Can convert multiple PDFs into one flipbook
*Supports batch processing
*Can password protect whole flipbooks or password protect only specific pages in flipbooks
Cons
*Must have Adobe Flash installed via Internet Explorer to create flipbooks with this program
*Using the developer’s 3DP flipbook sharing service is expensive: $1 per flipbook displayed for one month or $9.99 per month for 1,000 flipbooks
*Is buggy
