This program cannot convert .NEF files (Nikon) to another image format.

Installed and when I tried the program it was dead. Running Windows 10 Home. I rebooted just in case and when I tried the program again it ran as advertised. So, remember to reboot after installation.
My guess is that it is a very large program, but only a small portion of it is in the X86 directory. Therefore a reboot is necessary for the program to find all parts of the program's path.
I find the manufacturer's offer confusing. After installation a window pops up offering a forever license at 90% off. GAOTD's header states the program is $19.95 so 10% is $2.00. But after installation the manufacturer's offer states the program is $9.90 and today's special price is $3.96. That works out to about 60% off. Kinda' confusing!

While looking to system requirements we can see that this software should work with WIN XP. In my case the instalation went smoothly but when the program starts I can only see the initial screen which disappears after a second and then nothing. Program is "dead". Is there a solution for this problem or is it mistake while showing its compatibility with WIN XP? ( my system is WIN XP Home edition, SP3, 32 bit version ). I tried to repeat the installation process with antivirus and firewall off ( which is not clever ) but no positive reaction. Still cannot start the software. I would appreciate to hear some comments on that issue. Solution would be more than welcome. Thanks.

Georg, Perhaps the problem is the path started with number instead of letter.
Instead of "c: / 1AV ..."
put "c: / xxx1AV ...".

Georg, This problem also happens with AVG SECURITY and some other applications, try changing the screen resolution and check the version of the framework, because he causes similar problems sometimes

Thanks a lot to everyone who reacted on my request (#2) and dedicated his/her time to provide support in attempts to solve the problem. I haven't verified the suggestions - which I apologize for - and simply uninstalled the software. Hopefully there will be some alternative software offered in the future.

krypteller, I already commented here yesterday and gave reasons why it probably wouldn`t run with Win XP. Because the requirements specified on the GiveAway site are most likely incorrect! On the developers website requirements different from that are stated. According to the informations on developers site, Windows Vista and above and Net framework 4.5 and above are required, provided that the version here and on their website are the same. The version showing up on screenshots from their website is 1.0.0 build 00, the version given away is 1.0.0 build 91, which pretty much confirms my assumption. But some dumbass at GiveAway must have removed my yesterdays statement without any plausible reason, because I don`t see it anymore. LOL
