I just installed without any problem. It did open behind all my windows so I could see someone wondering if it had opened. If they checked this, they may have another issue. I am running Win10 with McAfee Virus protection and it didn't have any issue with this. Once in a while it does flag me, which tells me it is working. Only once did I have an issue with a GOTD program, and I didn't install that one because it named the file that was included and it didn't sound good. I have never had any problems with GOTD programs.
I just tested the program and converted a jpg to a png. It was'nt transparent, but I noticed that the background was actually light blue, not even white. I did notice that you have many options, such as adding a logo watermark. That is Awesome.

Does it work with HTM image files saved off the web?

I was warned that this download may be dangerous. I still want it. Any trouble out there?

Dan, I got the same warning and turned off my AV and allowed it to run and had no problems whatsoever finishing my install...

I wonder what advantage there is in the ability to save in many formats? Yes, there are a few that are useful, but having many more?

Hott2, One thing is the size and another is the quality and also conformity to your personal file types, per your needs...

Hott2, You can save from any format into your favourite, whatever your favourite may be. And it will do this from a large number of formats that you might meet. For instance, if, if, if I can get it to work I want to change images into WPG which hardly anyone else wants. If it works the programme should satisfy everyone.

Hi Hott2, there are many of those not well known formats that are very usefull for graphic designers. I thank a lot GAOTD for this software.

Hott2,
You should not complain or concerned, you never know what might come around. The price is right and the program is so small, it can set in your computer without getting in the way. Don't really see any reason someone would not install this because it has more formats than you currently need, when it's a free program?

Hott2, The main advantage is that u can have the file (s) in the format that suits your needs. My main use is so I can have files Ai and SWG for example in JPG format so I can see what they are without having to open the propriety program to view them. File managers are restricted in what files they can view as thumbnails.

I found really useful the ability to resize, rotate and watermark images. PNG image I tried out kept its transparency in flip mode.

Main bug is its inability to rename the converted file. This causes both original and converted to be erased if saved in same folder and in same format but using effects only.

Theres a 40% discount available in OFFER on top left for $9.55.which seems good value except it does not give information on license conditions and restrictions.

Jorge, Thank you. I was not aware of the use in graphic design.

DenisX, I suggest that before you change the format, make a copy of the file and use the copy. Then if you have problems when you change the name, you will still have your original.

It looks simple to use and has a lot of formats. I will be trying this later today but does not look like I'll have any problems withit.

DrPseudo, Why I have -8, I don't know. I obviously got it downloaded with no problems and have at least looked it over.

DrPseudo, probably because you didn't elabourate on it in your first post. They can be picky downloaders in here :)

It says preactivated, no need for codes etc.
I installed it.
An icon appeared on the desktop.
Click it, and a picture appears, remains for about three seconds, then disappears.
Nothing else happens.
Tried several times, tried clicking on the picture, but nothing happens, picture disappears.
Tried waiting — nothing happens.
Has anyone managed to get it to work?

Zen , I installed without problems. I think your firewall or virus program may be blocking your usage. Good Luck

Advantages over image conversion capabilities of IrfanView?

Reply   |   Comment by YD Stuff  –  Last month  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+21)

YD Stuff,

It does appear to have a longer list of file types than in the IrfanView "save as type" list.

Reply   |   Comment by rww  –  Last month  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+8)

rww, look more closely most of those are just the same file formats using different file extension letters and naming variants to make them *look* like extra file formats. Also everything it converts goes via an intermediate JPG recompression in userdocuments \1AV Image Converter\Temp folder... meaning it is always going to be extra lossy on conversion as well as only support rasterised images and no pure vector actions.... it also cannot apply photshop effect plugins either or act as an application plugin host on individual file conversions.
