To Giveaway of the day...
I would like to know why after installing, the dialog of successful installation, and running the program, I'm seeing a menu "Register" with the options: "Buy full version now", "Get free trial key" and "Enter key"?. And I don't see any mention of "Registered version" or "Full version", in "About" option or anywhere.
I guess the program isn't registered, and wait for you to explain. So respond me please.
Thanks!

Reussite Oisillon, it is not necessary to register again.
The whole package of GOTD is already registered.

Ootje,
Hello and thanks for trying to help, but there's something abnormal about rhis version.
When it's registered "Buy full version now", "Get free trial key" and "Enter key" should disappear or be greyed, and we should see "Registered" or "Full version" somewhere.
So there's something not clear, and I would like to understand it.

Reussite Oisillon, You're right.
If the software s registered, the options Buy and Get free should be greyed of better vanished.
Not like this; About says nothing about registered:

This software is not very well written.
Some part are in English and some other part I can read Dutch.
Also when I start a module it will not appear in front. I have to select it.

I keep getting an error trying to install the app. I'd really like to try the program. I'm always looking for a better explorer browser.

I just tried to search a file within a special month. Unbeleavable, not possible. You can only search at, befor or after a special date. The Windows Explorer offers a search within several selected dates. So 1-abc offers less functions than the normal Explorer does.

There are many free folder directory printers that can output the file names to text.
Most of the utilities are already covered by other free software.
This giveaway is not useful if you already have software with these capabilities.

Just a quick note that 2 of the functions, beyond the obvious encrypter & eraser, can be used for security-related tasks.

With the copy of Win7 on this PC, the Windows folder holds over 120k files -- the Windows folder for a rather sparse copy of 10 holds almost 110k files. You can stick one or several files in that Windows folder, & as long as it blends in -- e.g. you don't name it something like my hidden file -- it's highly doubtful anyone would ever notice. To make it really blend in, after say naming an encrypted zip file [some file name].dll for example, you can change the file's attributes [like date/time] to match the other files in whatever subfolder.

Besides hiding a file or files, you can also make it IMHO pretty much impossible for anyone to ever decrypt something like a encrypted zip file by splitting it into 2 or more pieces, & storing those pieces separately. FWIW, I've read of security experts recommending this strategy for passwords too. You can take an encrypted zip [or 7zip, RAR etc.] file, split it, name the pieces so they're not obvious, put one or both pieces *separately* in the cloud or on removable media or just leave them on your hard drive, & someone would not only have to find them, but ID them as belonging together, & that's before worrying about the password for whatever encryption. Even if your password manager is compromised, that's still not much help to whomever wants to read your stuff.

I went to website and installed the Folder to Txt module. It works quite well. You can copy all the song titles you have in a folder to a txt file, then copy that txt file and paste it into a spreadsheet. 3-4 quick clicks. Much better than the kluge I have been using for years.

this is so outdated and pretty much useless. For me,the most amazing is developers ''courage'' to put $40 price tag!? For what? even as freeware this bundle of ''8 fantastic file and folder tools'' is a waste of space.Another ''fantastic'' surprise is modern and innovative web page ;) .If You need reliable file manager/explorer there are plenty of free and shareware programs, far better than this one.For example XYplorer (I think it was offered here),with tons of tools(plus there is portable and free version). And that's just one similar app,far better than this.

perpetummobile,

ONe of if not the best (I think) options is offered as an installed or portable version in both 32 and 64 bit flavors. It is that I know of the only quad pane file explorer available that has these different versions and it is FREE.

Q-Dir is great and the guy that makes it is pretty helpful when emailed with a question or concern in my experience as well. It's great that GOTD offers us things each day but sometimes the offering really misses the mark with so much out there often that is comparable or better.

You XYplorer just got me thinking many people might not be aware of Q-Dir and how amazingly useful 4 windows (more with tabs in use!) can be, to me it is invaluable.

I don't have file problems, I have folder problems. I want some folders that Microsoft has decided I have to keep hidden to be visible without having to also make some other system files (desktop.ini for example) visible that I don't want to see.

.
[ @TK,], I have found that I can delete all [ desktop*.ini ] files with no deleterious repercussions.

In fact, it removes the dirty stinking lying [ My ... ] and WIndows ... ] prefixes on directories that actually don't have [ My ... ] and WIndows ... ] in their names.

Microsoft rebuilds the ones they think are supportive of the user experience.

Anyway, [ desktop*.ini ] files are not necessary, and their features and benefits ( ? ) are mostly for the user interface "prettiness", as if the word [ Music ] is not enough to tell us what's listed in the directory.
.

Therese, Therese, if it is just one or two, (eg appdata) why not just create a shortcut, either in the same place as the folder itself or on the desktop? KISS.

Still can't figure out what's the application of it.
File Finder? I have Everything from voidtools.
File Renamer? Why?
File Washer? Got it.
File divider? Why, a file is too big for floppy?
File Encrypter? I got it.
File Replacer? ...
Folder-To-TXT? Why?

Useless to me.

I was amazed how awful this program is. It reminded me of the sort of thing that was freeware in 1990. A complete waste of time - but at least I didn't spend $40 on it.
