GREAT SOFTWARE!! Downloaded and installed in minutes, was burning DVD's and watching them on TV is less than 20 minutes. The burn process takes a little time, but the quality is super. I am very impressed with this product and will probably buy one of their higher end products. I am very impressed. I highly recommend.

Very simple program but very useful. Pretty decent transitions to select from. Not many and not many options, but pretty stable and very valuable for being free. I'm not complaining. Actually, it is very useful for me because you can burn FLV (Flash video, i.e. You Tube) files which is something I was wanting to do.

Thumbs up!

#55 Drama Queen: Did you figure out how to get the 'templates'? I'm having the same issue, reinstalled, tried the trial and nothing gives me MENU Menu, Frames, or Button.. The left side is completely blank!

I'm guessing this problem is maybe specific to what else might be installed. I noticed the log.txt file that get's put in the base program folder is complaining about a few dll load errors. I also have Nero 7 installed and see that this program is trying to test for it. Sent Wondershare a email on this problem, Hopfully they will answer. Will post the response if it fixes the problem.

One last comment on this tool, it's encoding apears to be single threaded, this means on modern multi-cored processors it cannot utilise both (or all) cores to the fullest. This can make it apear noticably slower than other multi-threaded transcoding engines. Then again it does save maxing out the CPU usage while transcoding, leaving plenty left to do other things or just save cooking a laptops CPU.

A word of warning, when transcoding DO NOT minimise the progress box if you then it all minimises with no controls remaining to restore or maximise it again. I recall a wondershare audio conversion program that used similar GUI that had exactly the same bug in the GUI controls.

Wondershare team PLEASE fix your library for this part of your GUI either by removing the minimise or adding restore cintrxt menu to the minimised taskbar entry.

Tried this under vista home premium with the program set for run as administrator in compatability tab, downloaded addon templates loaded fine, but preview does nothing in the slideshow section, and in the preview section. Tested using one of the sample WMV files included with vista and a downloaded xvid + mp3 AVI file. Both failed to show anything. I've not bothered to try getting it to burn to DVD as I've nothing I want to make a hard copy of currently, but it is in the process of transcoding the wmv samples and two xvid+mp3 AVI's to an ISO. I would have liked some bitrate/quality controls and the ability to choose the audio format and bitrate from down to 96Kbps upto 256Kbps. No idea what the default bitrates are, may find out when it completes.
