I did not realize that I had to activate the program twice to get the registration information submitted for this program… I guess I should start checking to make sure my programs are really successfully activated before the giveaway period ends. :(

Though I wish that GAOTD would let those in a similar situation go back and activate the program now, I completely understand why they can’t. Oh well.

I downloaded this program but have not been able to utilize it to its fully. Upon loading the program ask me to register but I have no licensing information to enter. When I develop a photo story I get a watermark across the photo’s stating “Evaluation Copy”. Why can’t I access the full program?

I downloaded to get the application installed. I ran the activation and installed then went to sleep. When I went to use app this morning it asked me to registerd again. And I SOL, now?

Again I will say this program is ok for one that just wants to put a bunck of pictures together and do it in a hurry. It will look like that as well. As a high quality look when finished I would say that is far from what we get. there are far better out there. You most likely have a better program to do this and do not know it.

Awhile back, GAOTD offered Wondershare Photo Story. It worked great and used SWF as output but the audio failed to work. I kept using it as my number 1 conversion tool cause SWF came out better than any format available. I was glad to see Photo Story Gold offered and downloaded in a hurry. After a test run, I concluded the following:

1) Program worked 100% without bugs;
2) Although various format offered but no SWF output which was disappointing. Current formats not can’t match the quality outut of SWF;
3) Audio did not have a time setting. As a result, audio continues although video comes to end.

I run two programs when my computer starts up. After the initial startup, I ran these programs consecutively after removing Photo Gallery Gold. The following is the result of the two scans. All Items not listed were zero.

Registry Fix:
ActiveX/Classes Section: 3 items removed
Registry Scan: 56 items removed

Registry Mechanic (PC Tools):
Software Locations: 3 items removed

What I resent is the time and hassle of having to re-install the programs with the working codecs that this package clobbered. That includes Video Wave and Home Movies Made Easy, until I find something else that doesn’t work. Until then, I have to delete the file this Wondershare program produced as nothing I have on my computer other than Wondershare and Windows Media Player will recognize. As such, I can’t burn it to DVD even though it’s an mpeg2 file. Pity.

It showed much promise to start with. I trust an ‘F’ still stands for FAILURE.

I love the Wondershare Photo Story & was eagerly wanting to try this version. I downloaded & did the Activate & Setup. When finished, the program failed to launch. Saw a comment that remove & reinstall would work. I did that. The ‘Remove a program’ take away the program. However, the reinstall failed to work with message the ‘delete failed – access denigned’. The ‘Remove a program’ show no program, but explorer show the complete Gold package. I tried deleting but access denigned.

Wondershare, what gives ?
