Thanks Mike #31.. Your comments were very useful… I am normally wary of installing software related to audio-video for fear that it may screw up something in my system so your comments that this software is pretty self-contained was my green-light..

After installation, I downloaded two music videos from YouTube and fired up this program. In a few easy clicks I had extracted two mp3s. The sound quality was slightly muddied but otherwise not bad. Very easy to use. I like it.

Does NOT work for Blackberry Videos, tried the default settings, and all i get is audio and a black screen, tried several other options even ipod/zune, etc and no luck !!!

Tried on a Blackberry Storm and Blackberry Tour.

doesnt support unicode encoding. If the file is named with chinese or whatever it fail to convert. So far many video converter out there doesnt support unicode if this do then it will be great

It turned a 289MB FLV file into a 1.4GB AVI. (0_o) I don’t see any bitrate settings or anything.

It is smaller and focuses on MP4 video. Video Converter can convert to more output format.

Btw, does anybody know why the subtitle plugin uses strange characters?

502 bad gateway, work around: change the language (next to the main logo on this page) into a different language, you will be directed to the home page of gotd, then select [proceed to download page] (translated in the selected language) and you can download and install the program. If not then try another language. Works for me when I change to local language (Nederlands).

Just one minor comment. Your review gives version number 4.2.0.60, which is correct for the downloadable from Wondershare’s homesite. However, the GAOTD version is v4.2.0.56, so it looks like we’re getting an older version, though maybe not by too much. (Just re-checked & verified both version numbers.)
