BE AWARE. The version you get is not the version described on their website. The functions and tutorial apply to a previous version that had many more functions. I purchased the DVD version only to find the software you buy is not the same described on their website.

Very deceptive!!!!

On my desktop computer, running Windows XP SP2, Flash Slideshow Builder gave me an error as it was opening. It was telling me that my DVD/CD drive didn't have a disc. Fortunately, I was able to click Continue and the application still opened up.

Then, as I was working through the steps to create my show and clicked on Decorate, a little window popped up indicating that it had started to publish my slide show. I immediately got another error about how it failed on drawing an image. After clicking that closed, I got the same error again, and again... Apparently, it was giving me the error for every photo in the show. Finally, it gave me an Access violation error.

I had to use Windows Task Manager to get Flash Slideshow Builder to close.

On my notebook computer, running Windows XP MCE 2002 SP2, I was able to create a slide show and I found that Vostromo (83) is correct. The default Filename location for Publish as SWF says Porgram files and oddly selected my d: drive (which I never save anything on) as the location instead of my c: drive.

After restarting my desktop computer, I didn't get the error messages.

One nice feature that Wondershare might consider is a volume slider in addition to the on/off button.

I had downloaded the Wondershare Flash slideshow builder programme of 11th July. But when trying to activate it I kept on getting a message that either server is busy or blockage by firewall. I even set my firewall to off but could not activate my program.

Can anyone help me in getting the email and registration no to be inputted so as to make the programme work after the trial period.

Thks in advance for any help rendered.

@196, Anya...

clicking on "How to Use Flash Slideshow Builder" should bring up the help file...

did you try looking in the Wondershare file with Windows Explorer (in my case C:\Program Files\Wondershare\Flash Slideshow Builder)?...

Start>AllPrograms>Accessories>Windows Explorer is how to access Windows Explorer...

the help file should be in there, with a big yellow question mark as an icon...

"User Guide.chm" is the help file you are looking for...

you can click on it from there to open, or send a shortcut to your desktop, or copy it to your documents.........you can also right click the "How to Use Flash Slideshow Builder" link, click Properties, & point the Target towards that file...

if the file is missing you'll have to look at the online Wondershare help...

hope that helps...if not, please try the forums...lots of knowledgeable people there...

I don't have VISTA, I have XP... I click on 'Wondershare', then on 'How to use Flash Slidshow Builder', a window comes up saying 'Windows is searching for UserGuide.chm'... the flashlight moves around for awhile searching, then after a couple minutes it quits. I've tried clicking on each of the tabs. They are: Flash Slideshow Builder; Flash Slideshow Builder on the Web; How to Use Flash Slideshow Builder; Order Flash Slideshow Builder; & Uninstall Flash Slideshow Builder. What else can I do? Thanks for any help...
