WinX DVD Ripper is really a good software. To my surprise,it can support Vistal system, but the other ripper software previously I used don't support OS..I have downloaded WinX DVD Ripper to use and some of its function feature impresses me very much.I find that,WinX DVD Ripper has the same funtion as <a href="http://www.dvd-photo-
slideshow.com">Rip music to DVD</a> I previously used.
the same function feature is as below:
1.support lots of format files conversion
2.support several windows OS
3.the conversion time is less than other conversion tool
4.good use friendly interface
5.very suitable for new and inexperience users
6.high quality of conversion
7.have the function of modifying video and audio parameters and clipping segment

Installed fine; problem comes when reading the dvd- it wouldn't/ doesn't initially read protected dvd's. I had to put in a porn (unprotected) dvd just to bring up the menu and then swap it for the disc I wanted to rip. In three tries I've had to do this every time.

#23 - <i>Well known prob with XP… limited user acct.s don’t work right — worse some software than others, but the fault is XP.</i>

If the problem in the OS is so well known and not going to be fixed, then it is up to the programmer to make their program work with the given limitations. Still a FAIL.

#27 “Does this tool rip an encrypted DVD movie (as 90% of modern DVD’s are encrypted)”

WinX DVD Ripper is easy to convert my commercials movies to videos. I I convert a movie called "Bolt", from Walt Disney. I know that those movies are well protects, but normaly, it run.

Fantastic software!

Doesn't it do well :-)
download no problem, installation no problem, set up no problem, copy no problem - even on a very ancient, very slow, limited memory laptop. Congratulations to GOTD and Digiarty Software.

instruction manual (http://www.winxdvd.com/guide/dvd_ripper_guide.htm) a bit basic but (27) follow the instructions at 23 above and it will do as you would like if quite slowly - about 1 minute in 10 on this pc!! (28) I think that you may need the authoring tool or any other burn software to complete the move. You could wait around a while and see if something appropriate comes up or, alternatively, you could go out and buy. Do bare in mind the licensing regulations you agree to abide by when you purchase your dvds - you will find that many, if not all, these now state that even copies for own use are not permissible.

(21) you might try clicking on the browse button at the side of the output destination, then you could save the file to wherever you like - including to your 'my documents'.

Installed & worked fine on XP home SP 3. I tested it with my original copy of john Carpenter's "The Thing" (as opposed to a back-up copy) and it worked well. I left it on the factory settings for an AVI file and it took approximately 80 minutes to rip the movie. That is a little less than the 108 minute run time for the movie, but I may be able to speed that up by adjusting some of the settings. Thanks for the new tool GOTD!

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, I set it to mpg2, and ntsc, put when I started it, I got both vob & avi files in my folder. And the little time I spent trying it ,the program really seemed very slow, not fast as other users have said . Am I doing something wrong, or is DVD Fab, or DVD43 a better ripper than this as far as user friendly?

The software installs fine on Vista Home Premium. Converted a DVD to .mp4 format fine. I didn't see an option to save the conversion settings into a profile, like Wondershare offers. Also 768 kbps video quality was not an option in the drop down list, but I was able to just type the value in. Output was fine. A nice product, but I think the learning curve will be higher than with Wondershare DVD Ripper. I'll have to play with it some more, I guess.
