Amazing, works great... I downloaded it sceptical... but it is working perfect--the only thing that i read before that some ppl were having probs w/ is the file format--change is to mpeg, not AVI.

Awsome bit of software ---- It is worth buying. I'm glad I was able to get it free. Its easy to use and saves in a number of usable formats- can even burn to a cd using most burning software ---- Awsome!! Thanks GOTD & Nuclear Coffee Software !!!!

My suggestion to those who are unable to use the software, Just uninstall. It's that easy. Be glad its not full of spyware like other freeware/shareware..

#168, it's in your tray (it should restore when you try to open it via other means, but doesn't).

Important--either uncheck the option to minimize to the tray, or close it in the tray before shutting down. It seriously interferes with shutdown/restart on my Windows XP system.

I just want to take the time to say GOTD you're great! I've gotten about 6 great software programs, and at least a dozen games, I love the latest, "Get Video" I've been having a problem trying to save clips, I could only save the page, not the video itself.

This paragraph is for those who like to criticize some of the selections. If you don't like them you can always ask for a refund and get your money back. OH, silly me, you can't do that because THEY'RE FREE!!! Those who want the most, bitch the most. Those who appreciate the most, thank the most. So thank you.

Dear GOTD if you can improve your search rating in these tags i think you would increase your traffic even more-
freeware
free software
also i think there will more tickers if you also provide link back to those sites providing your tickers.

Thanks

oh man I mush laough ... avi this, and avi that ... you need this and that ... WTF! pepz ... avi is just a container format! ... it says NADA about what codec is used inside the container .. you have to use gSpot ore shomething to find that out. ... Now for the ontopic ... seems like a handy tool , and atleast for this that is not that advanced users ... I still prefer the manual way of doing things , and I must say I also like the "Super" videotool ... But I use other and more advanced software since I then can make more out of mye hardware that I have , and don`t have to load all the codec stuff on the CPU. Still a good DL thou :)

Get the cacheviewer add-on for Firefox. Install it, call it up, sort by size or date to find the large video files. One assumes you already watched it or you wouldn't want to download it.

Since its already there in your cache, why use this program or the videodownloader plug-in?

Click on the most recent cache file after viewing a video, and cacheviewer will give you the type. If the type is listed as Content-type video/flv then you have found it. Copy it elsewhere
(right click, save as...) and add the ".flv" extension to the end of the name, and you have saved the original downloaded file.

Super! Works even better than Replay AV (which couldn't capture Youtube video) and videodownloader (which didn't always provide a quality video).

Agree with #26 & #131.Every time I try to open it to use it,it sends error code and then says:Windows is experiencing problems and must shut down. And then it shuts down.Needless to say,it is now UN-installed.Messed up my Start Menu for awhile also.Had to re-boot a couple times.Something is not right with this app.Beware.!!

This isn't a fake site. I've used GAOTD almost since it first started. If you follow the directions in the readme file, your program will be registered. If you don't, then it won't. This has been said over and over again, every single day.

Doesn't the Youtube downloader only work on Youtube videos? It's also online, it doesn't have any of the features that Videoget has, so I can't see how that one is better. To each his or her own, though.

It never ceases to amaze me how some software developer will spend all his time creating a product that only works on WinXP when logged in as the system admin. Anyone who surfs the net as admin is ignorant as can be. Kind of like protecting your home with a gun that is loaded with blanks. Absolutely worthless piece of software.
Learn how to create a MS install package that will let people use the darn software.

#6 You can use this anything that requires IE with Firefox. All you have to do is use the extension IEtabs in Firefox. This creates an IE tab within Firefox.
