The program did not work. Very irritating. The program refused to accept the code which was provided as part of the giveaway. I wrote to them and complained about it, but of course they ignored it.

I've seen a few people get this wrong ... Hex 'F' is equal to 15 and hex '10' is equal to 16. The sixteen hex digits (0-9, A-F) run from 0-15.

HotHot is confused enough without being misled on this one.

164 voters giving thumbs up to a piece of software that doesn't even do what it should.

Just goes to show that the entire "thumbs up / thumbs down" doesn't mean a thing.

To the author, you wrote :
"The reason this was written was — that yes, you can use google, or you can use something like onlineconversion.com — but, (a) there are tons of ads on some of the sites, (b) ‘free’ sites you have to really navigate through a bunch of pages until you find what you want — whereas with this software it is nicely packaged so you can easily find what you want when you want"

ROFL. All the alternatives that you mention have one big advantage over yours namely that they work properly. Secondly, the tons of ads according to you just goes to show that you don't know how to use the internet. Any truly decent freeware/opensource site isn't hard to navigate at all. Just look at the links I provided in previous posts to see that.

Your conversion calculations have so many faults in so many areas that it becomes a joke. I haven't used hex or binary in more then 15 years but I still know of the top of my head that F = 16 or that 0011 = 3. Your program can't even get that right. The amount of errors found and reported shows that there hasn't been any check if the program actual works as advertised.

Might not be worth $50 but this isn't a bad little program. It's not pretty but it's quick (and hopefully it's accurate) For myself, there might be lots of online converters but I hate to go searching when I need one and who knows when I need one badly then I might not be online.

Even with a price of free, this software is so broken it is still overpriced.

I could deal with it being trial software if it just worked.

The fact that the "programmer" just took a bunch of free snippets and packed it up and slapped a $50 price tag on it has to be criminal.

To those saying 'Stop whining. It's free'...Yeah. It's free today, but this person tries to sell it for $50 the other 364 days of the year. That is just ridiculous since it doesn't work.

So glad it installs well. So glad it doesn't crash your machine when you load it. Too bad it doesn't work as advertised.

Hope tomorrows offering is better.

Hi,

First of all, thanks GAOTD for giving it away. Thats why we are all here; to get it free!

So, I do not find any logic in people bothering to ask why it was even given away.

Now for the quality and price of the product. I totally agree, it is overpriced, but it is business, its their choice to sell, it is our choice to buy or not. This product lacks quality though.

Thanks,
LayZeeBoy

To: #108 Mathematician!
I missed few major functions namely Boolean arithmetics, and polish notation! hmmm why thy are missing? Not the foggiest idea for such class of “calculators!”
Well, Are you kidding? "Boolean" sounds like "Bull" to them...
and "polish notation" Haahhhaa!!! :-) they even don't know what it means!
They probably reading this and thinking: "Bad people! Commenting some "bull"! We are not offering furniture polish - we are offering a SoftWare!"
So my question is: is this software soft enough to polish my furniture?
* + / 6 z 1.3 y (impossible!) :-) :-)
