the software downloaded and installed on 05-08-09 by me did not work on 06-08-09 so what is the utility of giving away this type of software? Even my PC hanged when trying to uninstall it. I love my PC so I am not going to download anything from this place & test the software in future.

Ok .. so this is my second comment on this page .. and i ONLY comment when things go wrong. This time things went horribly wrong. When I tried to do anything with this application ... it errored out huge .. to the point of reboot the machine. Tried reinstalling .. no help, same thing. I could always report the errors .. but the machine there to accept my error report? Actively refusing my reports .. is it full .. or is it broken too? I thank you for the free applications .. but when i uninstall reboot and find an MBR error .. i am not thinking it's free anymore. If you don't have a semi functional product .. do not allow it here .. especially if it causes fatal errors.

Thank You GAOTD & Pointstone Software for this nice well rounded software. I have and use the others too and I will use this one along with them.
I missed the first time around and I am glad for the second chance. I installed it with Windows XP SP3 with no problems. Very happy with this one.

I read the comments and found some helpful and some useless and decided to give it a try. I was surprised at how clean the GUI was for freebie software as well as the wealth of features in such a small amount of memory. The wash is completely customizable based on what you have installed and is very comprehensive. It works on IE firefox opera netscape mozilla aol and covers aim, msn messenger, icq, and yahoo im. It monitors your programs and plug ins like spybot and adaware's quarantine as well as adobe and office's history files. It works VERY FAST too! You can build profiles for different actions, for example clearing only browser history but not chat. The shredder works great as well as wiping free space. The slowest process would be wiping free space if you have a lot of it.And that doesn't even touch the extras. It monitors all your starting processes including ones that dont want to be found!! It allowed me to disable my garmin agent that kept auto starting and had no actual program for me to shut off. It has a password generator and helps you keep track of your IE extentions. It does a lot more a hell of a lot faster, more efficient, and organized than I expected. I'm very pleased.

I have been using the previous version & I'm basically satisfied with it.
So I updated with this offer.
I still have a couple of complaints about the program however.
1. Both versions are supposed to be for Vista but neither version works with Vista's Windows Mail. It has a category for Outlook Express but this doesn't work for Windows Mail. So it's not completely designed for Vista.
2. This version is not the latest version which would be 5.72c (May 19 2009) According to the program history.
The offered version is 5.60 so why not the latest version ?

#15.--Your a frikkin tool, THE END

#45.-- Did both computers have Windows? Maybe it crashed your system. Maybe it was office, or firefox, or internet explorer. I know!! Both computers crashed because YOU used them.

I have used this in the past It is a good program, but I found other alternatives fit my tastes better, however this program performed up to expectations.

erm lol small clarification..when I say x10 I mean main appdata folder spun into appdata > appdata (x10). And as far as shocked, I meant that it was soooo fast. I actually sat and watched it for the whole 610 freespace (lol that's a while) cuz it was rather hypnotizing lol. If your security concious, scan it before you install...It didn't trigger my Avast or Outpost (and my Outpost will block things if they are dangerous even if it's given permission). If you use things you trust, then make a decision for yourself..there's enough of a mixed audience here to really need to have a shot at it for yourselves, I think. And make sure you vote guys! ^_^ (lol I tend to need to remind myself too lol)

Okay, I'd really like to see more comments that are balanced with the actual software trial, not your idea of what you think of the offering itself (as in, oh i have something better, so thumbs down).

I use CCleaner, Revo, Avast, Outpost, SuperAntiSpyware, AntiMalwarebytes etc..I don't think I need to go on, those who are referring to others are prolly recognizing more then just 1 of those. I decided to give this a go after actually 'reading' some of the comments (and I'm not just careful about my computer cleaning, but about letting software having that amount of control). I absolutely am extremely impressed. I'm able enough to do a lot of computer stuff, but I am not a tech, and you're able to use this software extremely safely (you just gotta read what you're checking). I did a wipe freespace etc...I was extremely shocked at the speed it took to not only do it (I have 610 GB free), but how nicely my computer has been acting. After some issues with SP2 (which still aren't solved...I gave up as all of their suggestions only gave problems), I ended up with x10 of pretty much everything...including the massive world of warcraft lol..I'm probably going to have to reformat, but I"ve been putting it off ^^. Anyways, either way, I am extremely grateful, and the only thing I wish is that there was a key so that I could make sure I had it again when i do have to ^_^

Thank you, both GOTD (I love you guys btw, you're checked everyday, my rss's about once every 2 months lol). But a huuuuge thank you to Pointstone. And hey guys? lol drop the tennis match :p I'm sure Pointstone would rather have your thoughts about the program etc, verses about some guy's opinion (and come on, be respectful of others, eh 15?...). Anyways, laters guys! ♥

really nothing special about this program. It works and if you haven't been using something similar or a combination of software to get these jobs done, then you should use it. My only suggestion, after installing and uninstalling, is to make the interface less "self important" and more intuitive (simply put). rating + 6/10
