The program does convert perfectly if all the codecs are installed. If not, it doesn’t.

Tried a simply MOV -> MPG1 NTSC – worked ok for me. Program has a good UI, but seems far too sluggish for what should be such a lightweight frontend.

Unable to convert some MOV files to WMV/MPEG or any format listed. have to uninstall this.

This installed and activated ok.

Converted a few files – no problems – nice and easy. Recommend for simple converts etc.

Problem is when I exit out of the program the process keeps running in the background. If I run it again I get another entry in the task process list. Keep running and then exiting and I get a whole bunch of movieconverter processes listed.

Not sure what all those processes are doing but at the very least they are wasting memory.

I bought CARS for my son last week so we can watch at Moms house for Thanksgiving. Made a full backup to hard drive, then (just for kicks) converted the video to fit on my smartphone (Audiovox SMT5600 which has a 220×176 screen) as an AVI.
Which it is a little pixelated.
It took about 2 hours to convert. Excellent app. Highly recommended.

Installation and activation were both successful, but while the software can supposedly read all the above formats it can only export to AVI, MPEG and WMV. I attempted to convert some MOV files to WMV, and was unsuccessful. As such, I can’t recommend this program. Uninstallation pending.
