Sorry, I was mistaken. Offcet A4DB1, change 0x36 to 0x31, offcet A4DB2, change 0x32 to 0x31.

P.S. Or search for 'Board name',0x0d,0x0a,'62' and replace 62 with 11

to Rick:
You must find text 'Board name',0x0d,0x0a,'63' in file pack0.pak and replace '63' with any other number (i.e. '11') with any HEX-editor.

Location of this text can be different in your version of game.

A patch? A cheat? A skill?

(I tried Cat's idea did not work for me.)

Sadly ruined by unplayable levels later in the game (7.2 for example). Ends up being a mean-spirited game.

Hmmm... I'm gonna give that a try, cat... though as a hamster, I probably shouldn't be taking advice from a cat. ;)

After some further observation, I'd like to make a correction about what triggers the power-ups.

Power-up #1 - removes all adjacent butterflies around the power up - triggered by making a chain of 4.

Power-up #2 - removes all adjacent butterflies around the entire chain made by the power-up - triggered by making a chain of 5.

Power-up #3 - removes all butterflies of that color - triggered by removing 2 or more power-up with with same move, either within the same chain, or within multiple chains.

It took a bit of experimentation to figure out what was actually triggering #3, but once you know the trick, they're not all that hard to get. Just requires a bit of planning. It seems to be easier to set up a combination where a Power-up #2 removes a Power-up #1, but only because a #2 removes a wider ranger of butterflies from the board. But two #1's also works. The easiest way to set it up is to get a chain of 5 to get a #2. Then look in that area to see if there is a chain of 4 that'll give you a #1. Then try to remove the #2, and hope that the #1 gets caught in the chain reaction.

(And no snickering about #1's and #2's, or I'll get cat to hex-edit the heck out of your hard drive.) :P

I've finished the game.
I've found a way to replace level 7.2 with any playable level.
I've changed in a file pack0.pak (in DATA folder) two bytes (offcet A4E37) - there was 0x36 0x33 ("63" - internal level number) with 0x31 31 ("11" - you can try other number).

Sorry for my bad english.

Yup, level 7.2 seems to be the end of the game. There's no way to clear that level. The earlier levels ARE clearable, but you really have to play in the "relaxed" mode where you don't have to worry about the energy bar.

What appears to be a glitch in the game where three butterflies in a row can't be cleared actually isn't a glitch. If you look closely, the edge of the play field is surrounded by vines/flowers. Sometimes, part of the playing field is separated from the rest of the field, but the only things to indicate that it's separate are these vines.

Something I noticed that you WILL need to know to clear the later levels is what triggers the power-ups. Some of the butterflies are isolated, and blocked from the field by spider webs. The only way to clear these butterflies is with the power-up that removes all the bf's on the level of one color. While the power-up may seem to come at random, they're actually triggered by clearing larger chains of bf's. If you clear 4 bf's of the same color in a row, you'll get the weakest power-up, which clears all the other bf's surrounding the power-up. If you clear 5 bf's in a row, you'll get one of the two more powerful power-ups, either the one that clears all the surrounding bf's in the full chain, or the important one that clears all the bf's of the same color. So, instead of concentrating on just clearing chains of 3, you should be trying to maneuver them so that you build chains of 5. It's not possible to clear a chain larger than 5, and if you clear multiple chains at the same time, each chain is counted separately. The chains are not added together. So clearing two chains of 3 at the same time doesn't get you any power-ups.

Hope that helps some people clear the later levels... but don't count on getting past level 7.2. It just doesn't seem possible. There are no areas where you can get chains of 5, even if you're lucky. It's a shame this game wasn't properly play-tested.

I started noticing programming glitches in level 6 where there would be butterflies in groups of three but they wouldn't be released and/or would try to put butterflies in groups of three and they wouldn't go. Was able to work around this until level 7.1 where so many parts of the board were "stuck" that I couldn't clear enough butterflies (that should have cleared) to keep playing. I've reloaded the board a number of times, with no success. Definitely a programming glitch.
