An AI-powered object remover for videos and images.

Soft Organizer is an excellent and very easy to use application to install and uninstall programs completely. Applications can be installed with tracking, which means the tool records all places in the system where the installed program leaves traces. In the future, these data allow removing that program completely, including all leftovers that may stay in the system after regular uninstalling using the Control Panel.
Soft Organizer is also equipped with a search mechanism to find traces of programs that were not tracked automatically. For programs you prefer to keep installed, Soft Organizer can check for available new versions and notify you about them with a special symbol in the application list. The built-in rating system provides a way to locate and get rid of unneeded and low-quality products.

This program actually works. Installed trial software that always leaves traces of itself so that you can't simply reinstall the software to extend the trial period. When I used the tracer function of Soft Organizer the trial software was completely uninstalled and I was able to start the trial all over again when I reinstalled the software. One gigantic thumbs up !

This version has a couple of problems: the biggest is that it keeps tripping my anti-virus software, now that might be Norton, or it may not, doesn't matter --- I haven't had that problem with other downloads from this site and I'm going with my anti-virus. With all the problems out there you really have to.

The other major problem is the offer to install a product called 'Autorun'. It's on the Chemtable web site as freeware. Awful nice of them to offer but I don't want it and am not so sure it's not the problem with the virus warning. When I download Soft Organizer from the site it installs fine with no warnings, only problem - it's no longer free.

Finally, even when I get it to install, and before my antivirus blows it away, the program is taking a lot of errors. Something that I have not seen in previous GAOTD releases on this product.

Since I like this product and found it at a 66% discount (http://sharewareonsale.com/s/soft-organizer-chemtable-paid-sale) I'm going to go ahead and purchase. It would be good if GAOTD would check these against the major antivirus products before offering them.

@Hi Giovanni. For once, I have to disagree with you....in your first choice of uninstallers. Correct, that Advanced Uninstaller is one of Innovative Solutions best products, but it isn't just freeware anylonger - if you haven't noticed by now. It comes with a "Health Care bundle, which must be paid.....and this bloarware can't be uninstalled without removing Advanced Uninstaller. However, thanks a lot for sharing loads of freeware :)

Why is it that whenever "uninstaller" pgms are offered no one ever mentions the Excellent uninstaller Ashampoo Uninstaller?
I've been using this program for years and have never had any problems with it.

This one is a definite keeper for me. It installed easily on Windows 8 and I tested it on two programs. The first was a small freeware program called Free JPG to PDF (it blurs the final pdf by changing the size of the image so I couldn't use it). That one was a fast uninstall and showed 0 traces left by the uninstall.

Next, I uninstalled Jing which is a screen capture program. It uninstalled and then showed 137 pieces left behind. It quickly removed them after I clicked the button to do so.

Very easy to use and the best uninstall program I have used.

I regret installing this newer version over my older version.

This version has some kind of bug or something that makes it hang constantly and is very slow. I don't know if it's due to some new "feature" such as the odd "Unins. By" field next to ever item now or if it's just an outright bug that will be squashed, but there is no way to revert to my previous version and even if this is updated we GOTD won't be privy to it presumably.

That said this is absolutely the best software I have used for tracking as it really seems to see every registry and file change. I do have to go through it all afterwards and remove things that aren't part of the install but that's okay.

It could use a way to manually add things to the exclusion list beforehand. Odd that it doesn't let the user do that.

Great software generally but this version is seriously bugged.

This is my favorite uninstaller. It finds and removes more than Revo. It even removes traces left behind by "Trial Versions" of software so that you could re-install and start the Trial version over again. But who would do that?

Clean and fast. Runs great on my Win7 Ultimate.

I downloaded this program because I trust Giovanni's recommedation. Everything looked like it went along properly but after the program was loaded (so I thought) the following message came up and could not be deleted (it kept reappearing):

SoftOrganizer.exe - Bad Image
The application on DLL C:\documents and settings\Leon\Application Data\Dropbox\bin\DropboxExt 24.dll is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

The new icon was present but could not be activated and the error message would not go away and had to be removed by rebooting WindowsXP. Then when WindowsXP reappeared the program Soft Organizer 3.51 was completely gone. I don't know how to explain this and am afraid to try another install. Any help would be appreciated.

Just a short test, which can be done by everybody.

Start the program. Start monitoring an installation. Choose whatever you like to install. Cancel the installation process after the "End User License Agreement" by answering, that you don't accept the license.

Finish the installation process with scanning the changes.

Now you can see, what the installer keeps as installation log, even if nothing has been installed. I would be happy, if somebody could give a feedback on how many registry changes and file changes on different systems. In my case (WITH running Firefox in the background) :

http://www1.xup.to/exec/ximg.php?fid=11802650

25 registry items and 5 disk items (process lasso log for example)

Thank you!
Karl

soft organizer is my favorite uninstaller because of the ability to trace the installation. but it is not perfect. i compare it with other software that can thoroughly trace changes and the result is soft organizer didn't perfectly trace all changes. mostly it missed folder when i uninstall some unwanted apps in my pc. to the developer please include in your site the change log of every update of soft organizer. may i know what is new in this version?

Thank you GOTD for this! I don't generally make comments on products here but this one I do like, a fairly good bit. There have been some great input on the software and I would encourage everyone to consider what they have said as it is highly accurate and smart thinking.

Been looking for a reliable comparison versus Revo ( as I don't use Revo enough to justify me purchasing it quite honestly ) so this will work perfectly. Will probably install to my usb.

Today's giveaway is one of the best and quickest uninstallers I ever used. Highly recommended!

As best FREE alternatives I recommend "Advanced Uninstaller Pro" (by Innovative Solutions).

It's my personal choice because it offers a cool and unique feature I never found in any other freeware out there, namely the ability to reinstall a removed installation literally with one mouse click.

In fact it provides you with an “Installation Monitor”, which can flawlessly monitor a program’s installation and create an install log, thus enabling you to completely remove any unwanted program without leaving any trace of it in your machine (hint, hint ==> just think at any TRIAL software out there....LOL!!)

This way, you can reinstall a whatsoever program in the future by simply restoring the removed software.

Can also be used to cleanup and optimize the Windows Registry, as well as compress all files on your HD, remove duplicate and Windows temporary files, backup & restore your registry, clean browser cookies and manage startup entries, Windows services and even your installed fonts.

What concerns me with these type of programs is when they uninstall the program they might remove files used by another programs such as runtime library used for programs written in Visual Basic.

Karl makes a very valid point because it does not appear possible to be sure which process changed the registry, quite ridiculous but then it is Microsoft!
I have never had this problem for the simple reason that I don't change other things in the installation process and hence have never had anything similar happened to me.
Others claims that they can monitor different programs individual reads and writes to the registry I have never put to the test but have serious doubts that it is possible for every such action.

As I said this is my preferred method of installation of programs and I have never had any problems when removing them, but then I do take care not to make changes to the system at the same time.

I downloaded the previous version, I believe this to be a great little programme, it has never let me down once. I am opposed to using cliché's but in this case I cannot resist, "It does exactly what it says on the Tin"
Actually I feel a little guilty as just a few days ago I received a message with my previous version that a new version was now available (This one) but that I would have to purchase it. I had every intention to purchase the update but as a retired person I had to wait until the correct time of the month when pensions were due, that day would have been next Monday but I got an early birthday present. Excellent programme especially good at removing the add ons that some software producers love to put on your computer without your permission. BUT you must remember to install new software through this programme to be absolutely sure that everything has gone when uninstalling.

Also, if this wrongly reports that changes were made during installation...

Ric, it does correctly report changes. The principle is simple: it scans the registry and the file system before and after installation. The installation influences and triggers other windows processes starting from admission rights to changes in the virus software or defender or simply logging processes. If you uninstall a program, it copies these changes back, no matter what happened in the meantime, weeks and month later with these settings. You can strictly only delete the additional settings from the installed program itself, but this must be controlled manually.

The "normal" uninstaller without a monitoring process may forget the one or other registry item, but it is more "safe". Cum grano salis.

No other uninstaller can compare: SoftOrganizer really does log every change to your system when using it to install software. The caveat to logging _every_ single change is that it includes changes made by other software running during your install. Fortunately, you can choose which changes are undone during uninstall. No other uninstaller comes close to this one.

If you “deinstall” a program, changes in firewall policy or other tasks settings will be “reverted” to the time, before you installed program X, so you can loose settings, you have made in the meantime.

This happened to me more than one time, so I never use a installation monitoring system again.

Always a price to pay for such a feature. The price is too high.

The today’s software monitored and detected 159 changed registry items and 300 disk items. The “view all traces” in a new, well structured window, show a lot of changed registry keys not belonging to the installed software, from audio to background processes, the file list include changed files from my (running) Firefox to firewall settings.

Also, if this wrongly reports that changes were made during installation, are we not in trouble when we uninstall and innocent registry settings belonging to many other installed software are wiped out? This is like World War 2 style carpet bombing with B17s. To hit one small German ball bearing factory, they wipe out the entire city.

Use a previous version of this software on one of my computers three hard drives without any problems. My other two drives have a different uninstaller on them as it is my preferred method of attempting to keep my system clear of unnecessary items.
Unfortunately, because many developers use the registry unnecessarily it is not always possible for most types of uninstaller to remove everything unless it monitors everything in the background, I believe Comodo’s claims to do this.
Karl’s use of programs similar to Time Freeze is a better option if it is convenient for you.
If it is not convenient then, like myself, I suggest you use this or similar a uninstaller, I've certainly no complaints about this program.

This is the repetition of my comment to Soft Organizer 3.40 but is also true this time: "Got it from a earlier GA; it’s great. But this version has a bug: it’s impossible to stop showing the system and service components: all of these are counted down and will always be shown. It’s a pity. My earlier version is bugfree. Best regards to chemtable."

Installed and (self)registered without problems on a Win 8.1.2 Pro 64 bit system.

We had had the previous versions Soft Organizer 3.40 on April 9, 2014 and Soft Organizer 3.04 on April 24, 2013. Before that, this was the "Full Uninstall".

Read the comments here :
http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/soft-organizer-3-40/

One of the many uninstallers but with a special kick. Think about, if you like it.

A modern interface shows all the installed programs. The program tells you, that all version date will be sent to their servers. And the :

"Program rating allows you to evaluate installed applications. The rating is calculated based on the total number of users who have removed this app from the computer shortly after installation."

new implemented rating system sends every installation and deinstallation data to their servers, too. A good point, that they are doing this openly and not secretly.

But! You cannot deny, that these data are sent to their servers!

This is a good program, but think, what you are doing. The tracing of an installation records every change, so do not let run other software in the background.

As a test, I have had installed another uninstaller, the now freeware "Advanced Uninstaller Pro Version 11".

The today's software monitored and detected 159 changed registry items and 300 disk items. The "view all traces" in a new, well structured window, show a lot of changed registry keys not belonging to the installed software, from audio to background processes, the file list include changed files from my (running) Firefox to firewall settings.

You HAVE to look through this list! With the right click on an item, which obviously does not belong to the installed program, you can add these to a "ignore list". These changes will not be rolled back during the uninstall process.

This is solved better, than in other uninstallers.

Tracing an installation is a good idea, but completely ignoring the different traces lead to problems with a latter uninstallation:

The monitoring of the changes in the registry monitors (of course) also changes made by other programs during the installation process. You should not run other programs at this time, but tasks like firewalls or virus scanner run permanently. Changing firewall rules during installation process or monitoring things in the background.

If you “deinstall” a program, changes in firewall policy or other tasks settings will be “reverted” to the time, before you installed program X, so you can loose settings, you have made in the meantime.

This happened to me more than one time, so I never use a installation monitoring system again.

Removed by reboot. I do not need a program, which monitors and send the data to unknown servers.

A correction - you can of course block access with a firewall rule.

Pro
Soft Organizer provides information of current updates that are available for all installed programs and applications on computer.
Recording all written entries of all installations can uninstalled cleanly and without leaving traces.
Searches the system for new available program versions/updates
Simple interface

Con
A little High CPU resources consumption during the work when removing an application.

All things considered, it is a handy tool that packs a user-friendly layout for helping remove the unwanted applications from computer. The tracking option is definitely a big plus, as we can view the changes made to the system while installing a new program.
