@ If, as you reckon, you've worked in IT for ten years you should know better than to talk rubbish about software you obviously know bugger all about.

At first I didn't think much of the program, but after I installed it, I found it to be very useful. I especially like the auto replace feature which saves me some typing for work. Good program!

So Tyele thinks I'm a weak excuse for a human being, Face thinks I'm a jerk, some even say I'm a meanie, Wow that really hurts, I'm gonna cry and tell my Mom you children are calling me names, My Point to Veronica was if you are a Admin. Executive and would trust a program several reputable Antispyware company's don't trust with your data that might get sent god knows where you should probably pass on it. Sorry if my Humor was not well received, thats why I have worked in IT over 10 years and not comedy clubs but I spent most of my time fixing computers thats had untrustworthy, unreliable software put on it by someone who really had no business installing it the first place. First they install every little piece of software that sounds good then call me or our help desk when they get a warning about malware. I work on a network with over 13,000 computers and this would be a nightmare if even 5% of our users tried overriding our security software so I may have been a little harsh on Veronica but all this name calling just shows what a bunch of immature people like Tyele really are. BTW Tyele I'd like to have you say that to my face so I could show you another side of CyberGuy.

#97 if the alert is through a heuristic detection raising suspicion, AV programs will normally give the user a choice but if it is a pattern match with what it's been told are certain malware file signatures it should not offer a choice, blocking access and maybe quarentening it.

If you are certain it's a false positive then disable realtime scanning and restore the quarantened file and send it to the AV developer stating why you believe it is a false positive... they will usually run the file in a sandbox and test it thoroughly and if it is not malware they will modify their paterns as soon as they can.

My advice for all those running AV programs without full technical knowledge, disable heuristic detection, it produces far more false positive alerts than it ever detects true malware IMHO. You need to have a cool head to determine if what heuristics flags is really a problem or is just heuristics playing chicken little shouting the sky is falling all over the place.

I can confirm using PC-cillin with latest patterns that no malware of any kind is detected by scanning the files STA installs. In my experience trend micro are usually the first or one of the first to release patterns on an outbreak and where the most comprehensive pattern releasers during the WMF zero-day flood Januaury 2006. This is no outbreak!

Yes, NIS said it was a virus, I just told it to ignore it this time and the app installed fine.

All Virus and Firewalls allow you make exceptions. If you know it is ok, like in this case, there is no reason to be afraid.

If you dont want to have your passwords on some file, then deactivate the feature that stores them.

It is a great app and probly will use it more often than any other program I have. it even installed in mojopak.
