Downloaded and installed no problem. There’s alignment issues with the text when the program opens. But worst of all, I began having windows popup to various sites offering various products / services for purchase.

I spent two days running EVERY virus scan and malware program I could get my hands on with nothing showing up but the popups continuing.

I uninstalled this program as it was the ONLY download in the last two weeks and the popups stopped IMMEDIATELY!!!!

Cannot tell you how irritating it is to have received this type of spam from a program on the GOTD site.

It was going well. Registered ok. I like their templates that I could download from their site, and started building my Flash site… then it suddenly said I’m in demo mode, and the registration field has gone blank! It won’t accept the key as it’s out of date. I can’t use it in full mode anymore!!!!

Wow! Thought I’d stop by and see if this thing ever got corrected. Judging from the posts after it was said to be corrected, it appears not, or not fully anyways. What a mess! I think I will pass on further experientation with this product for now anyways!

A few responses though:

@36 – No, sorry, I followed the directions precisely. I don’t have any problems following directions. I doubt if this many people are unable to follow directions so your comment doesn’t hold up. Thanks for sharing though!

@24 – I am in US and have things set for US not British set up. I did however also attempt to feed it a date that would be a technically valid date by changing computer’s clock to 3/9/08. I figured it would then at least tell me it was the wrong date for giveaway but NOOOO – It STILL said the “not a valid date” message.

@129 – I believe you are right in that and I think you only get like 4 or 5 changes – EVER. I didn’t want to take a chance on that so I didn’t try the region change fix.

Sadly it seems todays giveway came from a software publisher who maybe wanted to APPEAR to be giving away something of value. Maybe they were foolish enough to think that people would consider their product so hot, so nifty, that they would then come in droves later on to buy this magnificent software. I think (and hope!) it completely backfired on them and I am glad to see people saying they’d never purchase this company’s products now.

BTW, This bit with the 5 template licenses is ridiculous! Templates for this sort of thing are a dime a dozen out there. I see nothing to make me think that their templates are just so amazing that people would flock to buy more after being given a supposedly full program as a giveaway. I say supposedly because if a registered (paid) user gets access to a library of files or templates or whatever, then if a company is putting their merchandise on GOTD, they need to replicate the ACTUAL experience of being a paid user – minus of course the built in GOTD caveats like no free tech support and such. Okay, theres my $19.12 cents worth for today.

I downloaded after 9:00 am CDST so the registration issue was already resolved.

New build of Show.kit was released at GAOTD. Problem with registration was fixed. Now you receive lifetime license for 5 templates without time limits.

I installed flawlessly on several computers running ME and XP as well as 2 older 333mhz laptops running XP Pro SP3 and all with no problems.

Thank you GAOTD and Eltima keep up the good work!

Yeah I just changed it to the Brussels/Copenhagen/Madrid/Paris time zone on Vista and it worked. It looks awesome.

For all, there is a problem with registring this but I got solution:
unpack all,run activate,run setup(after activation and copy key to note),run program – then You got massage “is not valid date…”,close program,run again activation, run program from your programs. It works for me,I hope it will for You

Downloaded and installed the new version. Installed with no error messages(finaly). Registered OK. Worked only in demo mode until I done a reset of my PC (shuting down and restarting the program doesn’t take it out of demo mode). Time to give it a try to see if it actually works.

I found the same as most above – unable to register. I uninstalled and waited for the new re-release. I do hope this one is offered again when the kinks are worked out. Thank you GAOTD for all the great give always Merry Christmas to all the GAOTD team!!
