Oh yeah !! the Screensaver crybabies never fail to show up and cry. Boo hoo hoo. Oh not another screensaver blah, blah, blah. Please, give it ah rest already. Have yous no life ? I'm dead serious. Have you any idea, clue, as to just how foolish yous look ? Seriously !! I realize you could care less but, yous post here from time to time and people around here start to form not such good opinions about the regular crybabies etc.
Give it up already. Seriously, no one cares weather you like or dislikes screensavers.
I tend to think of yous as very sad and pathetic no life crybabies that have never had your way in life period. So, enjoy your little computer all by yourself in under your little rock that you can't seem to climb out of LMAO. Loosers !!!!

Anyhow, this is a very nice screensaver. Yes, it does take about 30 seconds to start. But overall, it is a nice screensaver. I give it 8 out of 10. Thank you GAOTD. team for this nice repeat screensaver. I have had this since it was given away last time.
Also Happy New year to the entire GAOTD. staff and to our regulars that stop by. Lets all hope for a better year in 2009

Most of their screensavers work for me and I like them. I tried this last time it was offered and it wouldn't come on by itself. I put it on again this time and it still didn't come on when it was time for a screensaver to turn on. So I uninstalled it. I have Vista and I guess I'll stick with the other Santa one we got.

No issues setting up but as with 99% of screen savers out there, it does not run properly on multi-screens. First monitor ran the saver, second monitor went black, and the third monitor stayed on. With more and more people opting for more than one monitor, you'd think there would be more options for compatible screen-savers. Thanks anyways GAD. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Ok. I know I'm slow but where do I tell this thing to run after so many minutes? Once installed, I checked the Windows Screen saver and it has defaulted to None. Then I go to the settings for today's give away and I see no place to tell it to turn on after so many minutes. So what happens? I have no screensaver at all.
I checked the Windows Screensavers and there is no Astro-Gemini or Christmas screensavers to set the time using Windows.

OS = Vista Home Premium 64

Wouldn't install right. Kept giving me error messages about missing dlls and after I found and fixed those, it said it couldn't find the entry point in a different dll. I didn't know how to fix that, so I gave up and uninstalled. Too bad, I love christmas and would have loved this screensaver.

And a Happy New Year to GOTD and everyone here -- plus a suggestion for a New Year's Resolution:

"I will never take any notice of the thumbs down / thumbs up voting statistics at the top of a GOTD offer page".

As in this case: the thumbs down "votes" aren't from people who have tried and used this screensaver. . . but from those who don't like screensavers per se.

Ignore 'em.

Luv the screensaver, though it is just a tad early..... Anyway, only wants to run in demo, so maybe it won't hang around til next Christmas.

What is it with the negative bull? These offers are free. Free! Damn if I could find free anywhere for paid applications and a chance to try out otherwise pay for apps I would be grateful. OH, WOW! I forgot, these are free and I don't have to pay plus I can try them out. Isn't that what I just said? Well maybe it was worth repeating.
Thanks GOTD.
Happy New Year and thanks for your efforts and some really nice programs. Can't wait to see what's next.
HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!

Well, I now know the Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down ratings can be very misleading.

I just installed this on my wife's computer and found it to be one of the best animated screen savers I have ever seen. My wife loves it! I am glad that I read the reviews instead of just looking at the Thumbs. We now have a very high quality screensaver to enjoy next Christmas season. Thanks GAOTD!

I am sure the screensaver would have gotten better rating a month ago. Just like any other boxing day sale item I will download and keep till next christmas :-)

When it comes to the deep winter of december and christmas-The heart fills with the joy of celebrations and respect for the beautiful versatile decorations. So any ornament for the digital world is also always greeted and welcomed. Even if astro-gemini savers are heavy from the processor or memory point of view, sometimes their graphics are cool enough. The screensaver manager is great, it does not do any significant partiallity with the Non Astro-Gemini Savers. This saver which takes us to the north pole is cool and cozy enough to be a Giveaway Gift. Seasons greetings to Astro Gemini and GAOTD .Belated Merry Christmas & Happy New Year - 2009 To all!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jolly character marching to and fro outside cute log cabin in the forest, steps running down to a jetty, a river, a moored rowing boat and... hang on! We’ve been here before, folks. This is Little Dwarf given a festive makeover - he’s now has a snowman costume, snow falls all around (the snowdrifts never get bigger), there’s a brightly lit Christmas tree, fairy lights and heaps of presents.

We never get to meet Santa even though, surely, he’s at home. There’s smoke curling from the chimney (should Santa be told about global warming?) and a sleigh laden with parcels is waiting with two prancing reindeers. Two? Neither one has the required red nose, so where’s Rudolph and all the others? Has Santa had to cut back in these bad times? Will he be next for a bailout?

As I write, this screensaver is getting 85% thumbs down. Awe, c‘mon you guys, I know it's cheesy and late (or fantastically early, not that I’ll keep it till next Christmas) but kids everywhere will love it. Let’s do something positive for a gloomy-looking 2009 - thumbs up from me.

Happy New Year! everyone (or Blwyddyn Newydd Dda!, as they say here in Wales).

Though Santa never appears, I found this saver a plus....UNTIL. It took forever to load and I noticed it peaks my processor while running and I had to un-check the glow option in order for it to run smooth. For some reason even after I switched back to my Aqua Marine saver I could still hear the mucic for the Santa's Home saver running, and when I closed out I found another saver running in the back ground. I un-installed it pronto. Thanks anyway GOTD for the offer

Happy New Year!

The 3plane screensaver from 21st Dec. was innocent, but the manager was evil! It killed my regmon app without a notice and displayed a message I should close my running debugger.
Anyone tried today's one by astro?

Happy New Year!

I don't know why today's giveaway has so many thumbs down so soon. Astro gemini screensavers are beautiful, the screensaver manager is great and has a lot of features, it even lets you rotate screensaveers, not only theirs but all screensavers on your pc. I enjoy both the astrogemini and jplanesoft screensavers that have been Giveaways.

Always happy to have another beautiful astro gemini screensaver! And btw I'm glad the brief game info is posted here, I can see at a glance whether its a game I want to try or not without having to mess with going to forums too (a consideration when a pc is having mysterious memory problems that makes webpages slower than .... to load!)

Better late than never. I would have preferred to have gotten this instead of the unusual one from 3Planesoft. Colorful, lots of motion, good graphics and animation for Astro Gemini, shadows are well done, the music fits the scene. Not a lot of views, but a pretty good amount of variation in camera paths. Doesn't blank additional monitors. See my comments yesterday for some software deals ending today (there were some other great deals, but they were tied to my accounts).

I'll be posting a couple of big name freebies later today to celebrate the New Year and will also include several more titles. I promised I'd post a Bonanza crop of games last week, so be sure to check the comments section or the forums out later today.

Hopefully I'll be posting them sooner than later as we have quests tonight to see in the New Year.

p.s.

Sorry for taking up valuable space in the applications section of the project. If there was any other way of reminding people about the free games being posted on a daily basis over in the games discussion forums rest assured I would take it.

regards

Might be a nice program but timing is a bit late. I'm looking for Spring and warm weather - not a reminder of more snow to shovel and cold weather. Might have been nice before Christmas but will pass on this only because of the reasons mentioned.

My toddler son seems to have fallen in love with the colorful graphics of Astrogemini screen savers. He enjoys the music and has made this a play so I welcome yet another addition to my collection of screensavers from this company. Installed and registered fine on my Vista Home 32. Thanks everybody and have a Happy New Year.
