I went on Safe`n`Sec web-site to understand what is it. This is Russian software for safe work in agressive malware environment. It is really good for new viruses and real hackers.

I have SafenSec for rude malware. SafenSec is a preservation not a pill against malware. It is more advances software than antivirus. It is better to preserve you computer than to treat. But I use 2009 version. This one is out of date.

I never commented before, but This program killed my computer…total freeze up…I had to reinstall everything…! terabyte worth…
BAD BAD …there was no way to undo any changes….
bad program…delete it..
quick!!!

i like bruce’s long comment, except that i also appreciate smart snarking.

steve avery’s links look good too, IMO.

if the castlecops roundup doesn’t include avira antivir, then i’ll just mention that avira’s current dialogs mention that it has some anti-rootkit features.
also if not already mentioned, i think i’ve seen frisk/fprot’s antirootkit recommended (months ago, so perhaps outdated recomm).

I also had issues with this one…my anti-virus detected a trojan. Aside from that I didn’t really find this program to be overly useful..then again I think I lost some of the features by putting the “trojan” file under quarentine. Either way, I love this site and you people do a fine job! Keep up the great work!

I, too, am thankful and appreciative for this site and have downloaded many wonderful apps, however, my antivirus identified a Trojan in this program and I cannot get it off. I am going to have to do a restore…..

Still love you, GAOTD, just not this program.
