O programa eh legal, porém não inova em nada. Recomendo o UltraVNC que tem mais recursos, além de ser free o ano todo! :) BR

So to connect to a second PC, they also have to be running this software?

Has anyone else also noticed that Giveawayoftheday seems to hang or jam their browser. I'm using Firefox 2 and it seems to happen 2 out of 3 times, only this site though, no other sites.

I'm not about to bash these programs, but there is nothing wrong with being negative about a "free" program. They have a right to not like it as long as they have a reason. I am grateful they are offered, but I don't have to sings praises about every single thing free.

The only reason I would complain is that the activation key doesn't work for offline computers, time-limit to activate, and I don't see anyway to restore a program in case of reformatting a computer (which some people do regularly). With these extra stipulations, I feel it is not technically as free as other freeware programs. I'd call it a liberal, fully-functional lifetime* trial. I do understand why they protect their programs from abusive distribution, but it's at the cost of the user, the legal consumer (just as DRM music block pirates, it also limits fair use and makes it harder to use for the legitimate buyer).

I have not had any important uses for many of these programs yet, but I do appreciate them being available. The sad thing is that many programs are free these days, and pay programs have stiff competition. This site is truly a great invention, and I will continue to support further development.
