Thank you, Luis Perez #13. I couldn't make heads or tails of this at all before I read your comments. Thank you very much for helping me to get started using this program. Note to software maker: You may want to copy and paste the instructional notes from some of those who have made comments here like the ones made by Luis Perez and put them on your website or in your help files.

#77, Thom, that's a useful site, they also provide information on hiding your IP address, types of proxy servers, how to use them, and the risks of using them.

Again at the last minute for my comment but... First I can't even open the program. Second, there is no full version without the registration number. Third, there is no registration. I guess I will have to disinstall.

A little late on the response but be aware that this program uses TRANSPARENT proxies meaning that the site/user can still see what your ip address is. I tested it out and it worked fine. I went over to whatismyipaddress.com and it told me I was behind a proxy and listed the proxy ip address. But then it told me my real ip address with those same results. So, if you're really serious about your privacy, you should use non-transparent proxies. The think that stinks about that is they are a pain to seek out for free lists. And when you do find lists, many times most of the links are dead.
I was really excited to see this app and the fact that it gave you a free list of tested proxies, however, the proxies they use don't guarantee anonymity. Check it out yourself by testing at www.whatismyipaddress.com and you'll see what I mean. Hope this helps someone!

this software does not work for me. It doesnt seem to get activated for me. Oh well i have been using Invible Ip Map. Its a great software which has 100s of proxies each which work. It cost about $40 for 1 year. A bit costly but it works great.

someone mentioned above that their trying to work out what software as such does. well i enetred a competition where you post videos and the higest number of votes win. Each proxy is allowed one vote so i chage proxies and vote on my own video. I know its cheating but thats what the software is made for

#4 #69 - what this does is change your IP (internet protocol) address by running your internet connection through a computer called a proxy server. Read "proxy" as "alias" for you, so that now your internet traffic is using an IP address assigned to the proxy server. That way when someone, ie a website back traces the IP address you are using it is no longer your own.

Why do this? To protect your personal privacy so that "bad guys" collect less information about you (such as what websites you visit). The more a bad guy knows about you, the more trouble he can cause for you.

Another reason to use an anonymizer, say you don't live in the USA but want to watch US network TV shows. Well, after taking several minutes of your time they say "sorry, your IP address is not in the USA so you can't watch this show". But if you use a proxy that has an IP address located in the USA, and everything else co-operates then you are in luck and get to watch the show(don't tell anyone I told you this ;) )

#7 when a site gets "too nosey" (by your own definition) and they don't need the info for valid (again, your own definition) reasons, such as completing a credit card transaction and then delivering it to you, you do have an option. For example, you want to attend an online webinar or download a document and they ask you for all your personal info (name address company, company info etc). Well, as far as I'm concerned they don't NEED it, so I take the easy way out. I LIE! Fill in the mandatory fields with junk info that passes the validation but is not related to you. Using an anonymizer is just another way of doing this, hiding behind "junk" info.
