Your all-in-one solution for home theater entertainment!

PresentationTube provides a desktop presentation recorder and video sharing network to help instructors, students, virtual presenters, and business professionals produce and share real and interactive video presentations. The presentation recorder integrates a variety of visual aids and synchronizes presenter's video, PowerPoint slides, drawing board, and whiteboard.

An uploaded video presentation employs scrollable slide thumbnail allowing the audience to move to the respective video content and control both the time and progress of video. A video presentation also allows interactivity via Facebook comments and self-assessment quizzes, allowing the audience to be heard and involved.

Sample videos or showcases created using PresentationTube recorder are available here.

Note that best improvement ideas will be rewarded with updates and Teamwork licence ($250) for PresentationTube Recorder. Use Idea Informer widget to submit your feedback and do not forget to fill in your name and e-mail – otherwise the Developer will not be able to contact you in case you are the one to win!

So the video is mine to use, as long as I upload it to their website in order to use it on facebook or youtube? Lot of free programs out there where I can make the video and use it WITHOUT written permission. And why would I need to upload it to you first? What's to stop you from using a well made presentation to benifit your own use? I'll stick to powerpoint

Just my own personal opinion...

I refuse to accept as an ADULT that I MUST submit my own presentation to another person and site in order to get approval to use MY OWN presentation for who and what it was meant for.

If a person were to buy this program...or any for that matter...such "rules" are simply lame and wrong to attempt and force upon customers.

You will find that you will lose many potential customers due to such arrogant and ridiculous "rules"

No customer with even a half of a brain would agree to get your approval by submitting and uploading to you first before using what they make.

This doesn't even cover the fact that most people that need to make presentations must follow a set of guidelines concerning the job or work being done. Most companies or those running them would refuse to have their information and presentations sent off to another to have rights to use outside of that business.

To further clarify...as an example...Microsoft wouldn't make a presentation then send it to you for approval so you can take all the knowledge and information in that presentation of their product and/or service to use for yourself or use elsewhere...or sell to the highest bidder if you chose.

No one in their right mind would give you Alaa Sadik - The Founder, that power over their work or business.

I'm having trouble getting my head around all this. I gather that if I make a video presentation for a lecture or something similar, I have to first upload it to some site the vendor stipulates before I can use it and I also have to obtain written permission from the developer to use my own presentation? Plus I have to own a copy of Powerpoint? I thought video replaced Powerpoint presentations. Are they for real???

Incidentally, I'm another that doesn't hand out my email address for a company to spam or sell on. No way would I fill out those details on their site just to learn more about their software. Too many strings attached to this giveaway. No thanks!

@18.phased: Thank you for your comment. The reason is I receive thousands of video views per minute, which affect the speed and running cost of my video streaming server. If you are interested enough, please register.

Nope, not for me. Went to view the sample presentations at the vendor's Web site, and was expected to first register and provide an email! Excuse me?! I have to register to view your promo presentations? Right, that's gonna happen...

Major fail. Keep yer bloody program.

@ 12. You have to have the latest version of ActiveX installed, and turn-0ff your Windows hardware acceleration, it seems that you have a hardware conflict.

@ 16.David: Thank you for your comment. PowerPoint is most famous and easy to use presentation tool available today and millions of slides are already available today with teachers and students worldwide. This why I prefer PowerPoint. In terms of license, the video is yours, just get a written approval to upload anywhere and anyway. There is no plans to provide on-line schools using your videos, but if any, will be 100% free.

I WAS interested, I went to the website to view the showcase videos......I DO NOT register on sites to obtain a sample of what to expect, the audacity of forcing people to input their information BEFORE they can even access information on what they may or may not be getting IF they decide to TRY software is really offputting.

Thank you for your offer, but to be put in a position I DO NOT agree with just to decide if I wish to take part in the offer, tells Me ALL I need to know.

This is actually a very nice instructional tool and I like the fact that drawing, typing and web tools are all included. This makes the workflow and presentation creation a lot more efficient. There are, however, two issues which would keep me from buying this (free is OK, but if I am going to spend limited $$ on it...).

1. The PowerPoint requirement. If it doesn't accept OpenOffice or others, then the extra work of creating a ppt export and using player can lead to usage issues for some users.
2. The license, Terms of Service require that you MUST first upload to PresentationTube.net and the fact that they retain the right to the uploaded videos is highly suspect. "12. You retain the ownership rights to whatever you post to PresentationTube, however, PresentationTube has the right to re-publish or retain the video presentation on the server". Almost seems like the developers are trying to build an on-line school using their customers hard work and expertise without compensation.

Just my 2 cents. Like I said, nice software over all, rate it 4 out of 5 stars except for the two issues. Thanks to the developers and GOTD!

ok just did a test record. Saved as wmv. After recording, message comes up Can't create data file. Went looking for the file where I'd saved it and it was there..

Can't be bothered with this. Uninstalled.

doesn't look like there's an option for widescreen. 800x600 looks so lame these days. Also I would have liked to watch videos on their site but it's "service unavailable" for all of them :( Not a very good advertisement for a product! "Permission denied" for the lot (text on the left).

Played around in the program, very laggy, slows everything down & I'm not even recording. I have a fast computer. Just pressed record to do some drawing, the message came up open PowerPoint Presentation first (huh?) & diag box came up to browse to file, then my laptop froze.

Won't open full screen.

I recommend checking out Dr. Sadik's website. The links on the bottom contain helpful information. There is also a contest in which we can win some money using this Giveaway.

The product looks clean and easy to use. The thumbs-down obviously reflect a disinterest in the product - nothing more. I am eager to try this on an elaborate presentation project I've been planning

After reading about GAOTD's new validation wrapper from users here, I am concerned about the safety of installing recording software which we know little about. It would be nice to see some technical comments about our installation wrapper, and the potential for exposing us to spyware - Also, what measures we can take to assure that programs like this only do what they are supposed to?

... and thanks to Giovanni for always providing a nice source of alternatives.

Good idea and a great offer - make your own presentations, upload to PresentationTube from within the application and embed your prestation on whatever website you want - advertisement free. Unfortunately recording video with sound on my two computers ( XP pro stationary and Vista laptop) does not work, ends with error message "can't create video data file".At the same time I cannot choose "microphone" as input in the audio options on my XP computer.A video file though on both harddisks, on XP machine without sound. So for me the software does not work and will uninstall, otherwise thanks to dr. Sadik

@ 2. Lou2: I would like to know EXACTLY what is happening, here.

You are free to use the video you record anyway, but you have to upload it first to PresentationTube website if you like to upload to YouTube or Facebook. Otherwise, send email to support@presentationtube.net to get a written approval, available to GOTD.

Must be a brand new program since there is any review about it online and I've never heard about it so far.

Looks like a nice app especially for those who use social networks on a daily basis. It can sync the audio to your video presentation enabling you to insert any kind of web content into it as well.
Great tool for e-learning courses and business conferences.

I take note of "upload" to THEIR network. I would like to know EXACTLY what is happening, here.

Installation was problem-free. I have yet to build a presentation with it, but the program looks promising. Program's response lags a bit on my system.
