Not worth it.
Installed and activated version 2.2. After backing up the registry and running this program I noticed NO improvement in system performance even though Premium Booster noted what it claimed were many problems. I disabled the "Scheduled Task" that it loaded into my system during installation (no point in losing any gains this program may provide by filling system resources with this program unnecessarily).
At next running I became one of the people duped into upgrading (other GAOTD offerings have displayed polite "NO UPGRADES" reminders). There are enough other freeware programs available that provide this type of system boost that I do not see the need to pay for an offering such as this - especially after being duped by the "upgrade." My system works fine without it and I will not be panicked or scared into buying something that was originally offered for free. I have 29 days left to undo any changes it made.

GREAT... I just lost my copy due to updating. The program was practically begging me to update, so I did. Dumb!

argg missed it, just found out about this giveaway site recently, btw whats the catch, what does the programers get in return of giving out free softwares?

I have tried TWICE to download this free software and TWICE it's 'Not a windows file contact vendor'

arghhhh! I missed it! well that's too bad for me.

Program would not install for me. It kept asking me to install disk number two. Not certain what was wrong, but was unable to install or run Hide my folders or the Premium Booster program.

Can't you use someone besides Wiki? Your software is great but this downloading is ridiculous. My speed checks out at 700 to 800 kb/sec but the highest dl speed I get at Wiki is 17.7 kb/sec.

#7, Ed, if this installation is like the one from a couple of days ago, it has separate Activate and Setup routines. The Activate routine has to be installed now, but you can wait and run the Setup routine later. Based on both my knowledge of these types of tools and comments about documented registry damage that it does, I activated but didn't install this. Like the Readme says, you should backup your system with something which you have verified can restore your computer even if Windows won't boot before installing this.

why do they not offer the current version 2.5
version 2.2 has some errors that are corrected in version 2.5?

I downloaded the program and installed it. when I go to activate it I get an error message that says "fatal error: Key is invalid"
Can someone please help!

I too out of habit immediately clicked on updates,
and had to re-install....
overall I'll give it a 9-of-10, perhaps when the update page appears there could be a check box with the disclaimer added stating that the update nullifies the existing license upon installation!

P.S.( That probably woulden't be such a bad idea for all of the GOTD software to remind all us brain-dead individuals who tend to forget these things!!!).

How do you install this now so you have the option of using it later without having it immediately run and possibly slow your comuter down?

This program is just super - thanks Gaotd. I understand fully that the program will update itself to the 30-day trial version. (if user decides to "update".) That's what i would make the program to do too if i were the program's author. You have to get money for the reward of coding these programs.

I suggest that you people are grateful to receive even 1 version free; that's a lot alone. Seems that nothing is enough for someones. Cry-babys!

I think it really sucks that this program will not allow incremental upgrade fixes whithout nullifying original installation. I think GOTD should ask the publisher to change that aspect of rules.
I also updated and found that I no longer had a free working program.
I just did a system restore and got back the old version ans serial.

Seems to be a solid package for what it does, not particularly beneficial to me but seems to make a decent improvement in performance (particularly Windows startup time) on older machines or those which have a lot of software installed/removed and/or are more susceptible to malware. Interface is reasonably intuitive if somewhat unnecesarily pretty.

Another "spice up and fix your PC". Fixing problems in Windows seems to be more than ever a "daily things to do" like teeth brushing. Maybe my next computer will be a Mac!

I tried this program when it was first offered. It was good, but I already have free programs that do the same thing. It's always a good idea to have a program of this type on any computer, because it seems that Microsoft has Windows set up so it doesn't run as effectively as it could (or should). HOWEVER, a lot of people noticed that the program was being seen as a trojan by virus scanners. Personally, I don't know if it can be harmful, or if it's just a false alarm, but I uninstalled it immediately when I discovered this.

All in all, thumbs up, but something screwy seems to be going on here...
