Very useful type of program to have. Didn't get this software, but I have (and do on a regular basis) used programs like this, and they're great. As long as this lives up to the GAOTD quality standards (and I'm sure it does), it's a great program.

Need to mention that I think that the price for this program is reasonable. Usually several posts remark on the advertised price of the offers on GOTD - but seemingly none today. Hence my own comment on the matter.

There are free programs available for many commercial applications. I don't feel that all of the software I use has to come without a cost to me. I would expect that many authors of software can not be altruistic all of the time. Goodwill does not always fill the belly.

Agree! Of late I have found the "Oh" and "Zero" with "el" and "I" in the same serial string. I am also finding "copy and paste" becoming a pain with some schemes designed to foil its use. Can't say that I have seen any code mixed with all three.

Why use upper case letters at all? There are just as many lower case letters in my alphabet as there are upper case letters.

I still donot see any need for this for a normal home computer. I find that so many of the programs that are suposed to help actually do the opposite and slow things down.

I hope this is nt one of those.
good luck;.

This program is actually pretty useful but i agree with others that it is for commercial use. I will buy it for my business infrastructure because the free softs out there are not as robust and do not support a serious size network; without mishaps.

@Terry, it's in a text file. mark and copy it in 4 segments and-or edit it onto 4 lines.

That's easy. how do you get a local macine respond to a ping, and can you you use url's for ip's?

I'm rather a block today- had my mind on how to send a packet every couple of seconds at a gateway port?

It sure would be more useful if this program could query specific ports. My SMTP and HTTPD are down but this program doesn't alert me because the server is still up. How about allowing it to query specific common (or uncommon) ports so people can use it for something more important then WoW.

Hello All,

My bad!! When I copied and pasted the registration code in instead of typing it - it worked just fine! Apparently there IS a difference between 0 and O. I have Glaucoma and did not see it. Works great now! LOL!

I agree that PacketTrap's pt360 (www.PacketTrap.com) network management software is the best i've seen. It does it all. There's a free and paid version too that includes Cisco tools. Really cool.
