Flintstones, meet the Flintstones..... Golly, I don't rmember the last time I had to go digging into an application data directory, create a new subdirectory under it, and copy a file into it from the app's package. Not for troubleshooting I mean, but as the normal procedure directed by the instructions. I'm pretty sure it was before windows v.3, maybe 20 years ago. Thanks for a flash of nostalgia, but I very much hope this isn't going to become a habit for GOTD. I can't imagine why the install routine doesn't just take care of this as it should. After a bumpy start, you had it down to a reasonable routine: activate.exe, get a browser window saying we're all done, ignore it, run setup.exe, register per instructions. Running activate before setup is counterintuitive, and the congratulatory window is misleading until one knows better, and sometimes the vital reg data is in the center of the screen hidden by one ormore other windows.... but on the whole it's been pretty cmooth.

I hope this was just a hiccup. I'm going to wait 'til tomorrow to try the app, but it looks great. I'm always up for converting documents to and from PDF/HTML/TXT/DOC/RTF/etc. Documentation a bit confusing when it said an advantage of HTML over PDF was "acccessibility," buz adobe reader has its very own reader that reads PDFs in passaable human voices, but we shall see.

Thanks and all the best!

Sounded great - but refused to install (and yes: I did follow the direction and activated first then ran appropriate .exe). Infact, I donwloaded it twice - both files "cannot be found" in Winzip. The Activation exe was fine though ....

Thanks GOTD. This is quite useful, although not perfect as a converter. It certainly made quick work of my genealogy book with all the grahics of family trees without messing them up.

I thought that this software could be useful. However, after I read the instructions three times and followed them exactly, I found that I had the DEMO version. It seems that about every other page just prints out the word DEMO over and over and over across the entire page.

The instructions say to register the software but NO registration instructions are given in the read me file or on the software maker's website.

I was interested in one of their other software products. However, if they can't program a give away for a day, it makes me wonder if the product will work like it says it will.

A difficult experience with GAOTD makes me question the benefits of coming back. And that cannot be what GAOTD wants. So maybe they'll improve the ability to actually use the software.

I hope you (GAOTD) take this post as constructive because that's the attitude that I am presenting it.

Wow, this is great! Most pdf2html converters stink, but this one is quite accurate. I wouldn't pay $50 for it, though, because I don't have a regular need for something like this. Glad I got it for free. :)

#35 Thank you!!! Without your help, this program would have continued with it's insistance for a key. My version of notepad version would not allow me to open the data file until I renamed it to a text file. It did take a couple of tries before I excluded the $ (at the beginning) and the square (at the end) of the provided key, but after that smooth sailing.

Since I am on a T1 or DSL connection, I would be curious as to how much faster these pages load up vs. the typical pdf file download method (makes dial up connections crawl to a HALT). I have not experience the errors that others have encountered, but I have not converted very many documents. I love the ability of the software to allow me to edit the HTML to add a header or additional notes and information. Nice software.

Being in the market for website building software, I believe that the software is overpriced at $50 and would consider alternatives had it not been offered here. Thank you GAOTD and IntraPDF for the give away.
