I agree with Billy, this is just a ripoff of Keepass, which I can get for free anyway as it’s Open Source.

I really recommend clipperz.com where you can store logins, passwords or any other text in an encrypted format. You only need to remember one login name + password and can access all your data from any internet-connected computer. It’s a JavaScript application, so no software to install. Just remember that if you lose the password for decryption, no one will be able to recover your data.

Lyn M. Gottschalk seams to be the writer of Password Manager Deluxe. You should be ashamed of yourself. If you can not face the comments your software gets here, you better go back and make it better. This application stinks big time, since is causes other software to crash and renders PCs so damaged that they’ll need a complete new install, loosing all other GAotD licenses. You better show some respect for the damage your sluppy work has caused.

Don’t know too much about today’s giveaway, Password
Manager Deluxe, but there’s another one out there entitled
“Billeo Password Manager Plus 1.6.0.0″. It is freeware
and sounds a little bit like RoboForm ( I never used
RoboForm, but it SOUNDS like it has similar features.
One distinct difference, however, I believe the RoboForm’s
freeware version is limited to “10 Logins”, whereas
Billeo has “unlimited” capacity to remember passwords.

The features that Billeo offers includes:

• Unlimited passwords kept (fills in passwords
WITHOUT drag-and-drop).

• It ’s a form filler. It will enter your name, address,
phone #, email, even your credit card information
w/ expiration date should you decide to program it to.

• “It saves any web page for future reference or
forwarding via email.” Basically, this is a
screenshot that it takes (no clickable links on
the page that Billeo. But useful, nonetheless.)

• It pays bills online. Though, I’ve haven’t used this
this feature as of yet.

• Rated 5 stars out of 5 (6 users) at softpedia.com.

• One final note. Though, this password manager,
Billeo, works very well, it should be taken into
account that this is a toolbar that is added to
your browser. If you have no issues with another
toolbar installed on your computer, then I would
say this is well-worth a go. Conversely, if one
more toolbar would be just another headache
for you, then this probably is not the answer
for you Then passing this up is probably in your
best interests.

But is FREEWARE and you may keep
UNLIMITED passwords with
some more extra features to boot.

Only works with my admin account, which I never use for browsing, so it has limited value. I wish that software programs would be more compatible with the reality that for security purposes, there are people, who use non-admin user accounts for routine operations. Yeah, I know the “run with different credentials” option, but it does not always work … such as in this case…and the Snaplogger a few days ago did not even allow “run on different credentials” as an option. That’s why I really appreciate a software installation like the one yesterday,Zone Gif Animator, which lets you setup during installation that other users were permitted to use the program.
