I am trying to do the simplest thing, upgrade my laptop HD from 100 Gig to 320Gig, with the new drive using USB adapter. Program says target drive not compatible from a sector point of view. I changed the sectors to match the source, and still can't perform this task. all I want is to make the new drive bootable, and copy my existing drive over.
I tried a clone program, but it keeps the new drive at the 100G size. Thought this would be the answer (copy drive) but apparently it doesn't like the hardware. I can format the drive fine, windows recognizes it, paragon sees it just fine, just won't allow me to use it as a target.
Arrgghh!!
Any suggestions Paragon?

I posted the problem yesterday - no product key, no serial number so can't activate. Using Windows 7. Found the unzipped file on my C drive no problem but still can't activate. Useless!
NOT ONLY did I not receive a response but my post has been removed from this site. What gives? What's the point of bothering with GAOTD offers if they can't be activated and get no response to the problem. Went to Paragon website for this product and could find no link to get the necessary key and SN - disgusted with Paragon - lost me and everyone I connect with.

@70, if you get hardware compatibility problems, you should use the P2P Adjust tool, which is available in the Professional edition of Drive Copy. The principles of P2P adjusting are also described in the comment 57.

@62, because Microsoft has changed its license conditions, software vendors are no longer allowed to offer WinPE media directly as of April 2012. This means that we are not allowed to offer the Paragon Online WinPE Builder Service anymore either. That's why you have to create WinPE yourself. If you can't get access to your account anyway, you should address the Sales Department (sales@paragon-software.com).

@58, to backup separate files or folders you can use Backup & Recovery 12 Home. To be sure that it really meets your needs you can download the trial version first.
As to the problem with the 2 TB drive, in this situation you should address the Support Team (you can write to support@paragon-software.com), because it is difficult to find out the reasons of the problem without some additional technical details.

@Howard #71 - As a possibility...

Any problems I've had with GAOTDs installation wrapper (and other setup programs) has been down to security/anti-virus programs. Sometimes it has been possible to adjust permissions within the programs. Other times, I have found it necessary to turn the security program off temporarily. That's not to suggest there's anything wrong with the content of the setup files, only that the security settings are a little too finicky, whilst leaving me in the dark by not popping up any message to say that they are blocking communications, e.g. to the GAOTD site.
