DO NOT install Samples.

I installed it, ran registrar file & worked fine.

The next day I had some system errors, sp had to restore an image back to before installing this application, installed it again, went to use it and told time up etc.

That sucks.

i like it.

I hate sites which always seem to have a special discount running at the precise moment I land there. Coincidence? I doubt it. Limited offers seem to be unlimited on too many sites. So if for example I was to succumb to Internet Downloader Accelerator's 'offer' I'd never be sure if that was the real price anyway, another 'offer' might undercut that a few weeks later.

Flashget was a sod for its banner and, much much worse, Cydoor tie-up but that's long gone now, from 1.7v and on it's completely free and without all the previous junk both on and inside it. It's that which I'm currently comparing against Neoloader.

I have been looking for a good software like this and I LOVE THIS! It rocks! Thank you!!!

This does not support 2-byte characters and special characters such as '+', '#' and so on. I want to download some documents from the internet about programming languages, but it can't download a file whose name includes "C++", "C#" ...

I think one should not *only* look for and discuss about the "free thing" here, but also take into consideration the price-quality ratio and then compare the giveaway-program to other (free) programs. In the case of todays software, I must conclude that Neo-downloader is nice again but - also again - just too expensive to pass "the test".
That you can have it for free today is certainly a good thing but I think that it doesn't mean that you can't criticize the fact that tomorrow you have to pay 39,95 for a program that is, in my opinion, not a winner; Free or not free! Sorry!

Seems to be a very nice one. You guys are getting better and better with all those offers. Great job.

Oh, yes, you could mention the alternative here on the main thread, I wasn't objecting to that and I don't think anybody objects to knowing about good freeware of the same genre.

Just don't assume that the alternative is superior than the special one-day freebie we receive here, as comparing two softwares can be quite involved and may involve all sorts of things you hadn't even thought of.

Be respectful of the hosts efforts, personally I am impressed, and if I download one program a week and really use it I will be very happy. Meanwhile I can also get free laugh therapy reading the grumbles :-)

I get a smile from the comments. Seems like some folks is expecting Dreamweaver MX followed by Quickbooks and then UltraRecall.

Please, be nice even when a download is of little use to you or you prefer an alternative. A lot of times one person likes one program, another likes another. If you want to recommend an alternative, do that in the forums with a fair and substantive comment.

And in fact these programs are being offered free here when they would otherwise charge. Some are quite kewl, some are so-so, mostly they all are good efforts.

However, remember .. no good deed goes unpunished :-)

Anyway, this is quite a nice little website and effort by our hosts, lets encourage them, and keep any critique with a smile.

I have a suggestion. A special weekly 'half-price' program (or something like that) where there is a real bargain on a mid-level program where getting a freebie is probably well neigh impossible. (mid-level solid programs like Surfulater, Time & Chaos, My Life Organized, Kaspersky Suite .. yes PowerToolsForum and DonationCoder and the UK magazines and some other places may already occasionally get discounts for such at times). Here the discount will be piggy-backing on a tool-hungry audience, some less techie. Oh, and the discount could last the week.

Granted this may be not in the philosophy of the website (if it is freebie only by doctrine) but if it is possible I want to help with the suggestion.

for goodness sakes people, stop telling people to stop complaining about something because it's free. just because something is free doesn't mean it should be received with gratefulness. something free does not equal something good. if someone gives you a free bowl of sh*t, and you complain, wouldn't it be strange for them to say, "why are you complaining? it's free!"?

Alexey, what you mean under "Does not support Vista"? We have tested NeoDownloader on Windows Vista and it works fine.

Just installed and activated neodownloader. It says it is a trial version. Hope you are not paying the supplier 39.95 for something that can be had from their website for free. or was the registration code omitted

Pretty nice, though not particularily useful for me as I don't usually download more than one of two things at one place. However it's small enough to keep around in case it's needed. Also I hope it doesn't autostart at bootup or at least that it is easy to deactive. (Hate when programs are set to autostart without asking the user, and even more it when re-puts itself there after removal. Jeez, it should be pretty obvious that annoying the user isn't a good strategy, and most programs, even really good ones, shouldn't be in memory all the time. Okay that's today's rant.)

I have commented negatively about quite a few softwares offered here and have not had a post deleted yet. I find the mods to be fair and not over zealous. I wonder what someone would need to post to even worry about getting it deleted?

Anyways, this works quite well, interface is a tiny learning curve and needs a bit more advanced options. I prefer Leechget myself.

Somehow IE 7.0 (dutch version) crashes since I installed the program. So, I uninstalled it again. Too bad.

Will this pull pics and music from news groups as well?

ya know. Some of the downloads are great, some are so so , and some I wish I would have saved my time by not downloading...BUT, why comlain about something that is free.

If the program was that bad, why would anyone waste their time posting such. I' would bet that Giveaway of the Day could pay us to download programs and somewould would find something wrong with that.

Thanks for many great downloads....Keep up the good work, I know it is not easy convincing software owners of the benefits of giving away programs for free with no expiration date.

I also find it annoying when my comments are deleted. They are deleted, not because I have "broken any rules" or been disrespectful, but instead I did not like the giveaway on that particular day and just posed saying why I didn't, shortly after, they're deleted. You won't find many negative comments about software...
