When I looked at the previous comments, 3 months after the Gift of Almeza Multiset, I realise that very few people really run the program. I tried it, several attempts to create installation packages. It does not work, at least on my windows XP. It runs, I see the folders, create a new folder, see the recording pannel, indicated the path of the executable file etc. but nothing happens... the program runs non stop, forcing me to use ctrl+alt+del to stop it every time.

Sure, I am the administrator of my computer, sure, I unactivated the antivirus and all other programs. Multiset did not work.

This software was absolutely useless to me. I've been mostly self-taught on computers and have been doing pretty well for about 8 years now, but this program was impossible for me to figure out, even with the "help" section. If it is user-friendly, it may be that way only for people who probably don't really need a program that can do its job "hands-free."

The instructions were not all that clear, and seemed woefully lacking in necessary information in order to get past the first two or three steps. I couldn't complete the process, so I would still need to hire a tech to make these disks for me. Even then I would wonder if I could make proper use of them without further technical assistance from someone with a computer-science degree and lots of experience.

"What I really want is a program that will easily & simply make an ISO image of my whole system, including all I have installed, burn it to multiple disks, & later be able to put in those disks & have them self-execute. IS THERE a free program like that out there??? If so, please tell me what it is! I had to reformat the hard way 6 times last year, & I don’t want to do it again! Thanks!"

This app give you a full working version trial for 15 days

This program may be neccessary when installing software in a classroom.
But please remember that this program may be used only for personal purposes...
Summing up, very good program with very low (legal) utility factor... :-(

Damned, I DL'd it but didn't install it rightaway. Thought I'd do that later, but than forgot to do it. Now I see the offer is gone. Can someone confirm that I didn't miss alot ? There's no way around I guess ? So why don't they just change this whole giveaway so that the giveaway depends on the time you DL'd it and not the time you ask fot your key. This way I could DL it and start the the reg process later.

With applications, this program works a lot like the old ZENworks. To create a package, you run multiset and clik on the new package button, then it "records" (monitors) your computer via the installation and creates an installation package based on everything the program did while installing. Once saved, you can use that installation package to install again later.

I wonder if this would work with SOTD programs. I install all these great aps, and if my computer needs replacing, I lose all the aps - sounds ike Multiset just might be what I need to retain those. Thanks GOTD!

Good software, has a few spelling mistakes but it's not the end of the world. the fact you can install "default applications" as part of the install COE certainly does make this useful in it's own area, something nlite can't do unless you call them "drivers".

Only caveat is that you cannot extract an "already installed" application or an "already installed" driver package. There was another GAOTD that did do that and allowed you to turn already installed system drivers into "installables" (anyone know the name? I lost it with a system wipe) however so if you still had that you could just add those driver "packs" to this application.

Worked well, generated a CD using the Starburn engine (as per previous GAOTD), Superb application and well worth the download as a "just in case"

Bit late to download it now though!

EVERYONE out there. Please note. You can reuse all of the giveaway programs. After you have installed the program an activated it. Then right click on start....click on explore....go to C drive...scroll down to program files. find the program you want to keep (incase of loss) the copy and burn on to a disk or flash drive. BECAUSE this is the folder that the program or game has installed into, you will have your full working program/application/game. If you copy this WHOLE folder onto a disk or whatever. IT IS yours to keep, fully workable, THERE IS NO need to active it. Does every one understand this. I have always done this, and YES I still have my Giveaways. And have full use of them, and use on different computers and made copies for others. Simple really. I hope this is explained and peoples will know now that you can save and reuse giveaways.

It is probably too late here already to get advise before giveaway expires, but i get the impression that if you have clean windows only on a virtual partition ( access denied and bundled with tons of promtional crap you have to uninstall every full system restore, no cds) like my HP then this sw and similar will not be much use. If i am wrong, please set me straight in the next hour or i'll have to pass on this.
THX as always to GOTD crew.
