Bye, Bob. Just for the record, the software on torrent sites is NOT "free." It is STOLEN. When you download it, you're not getting free software. You're not getting a one-day opportunity to snag commercial software for free. You're just stealing commercial software. And if you're worried about "a program that trashes our 'puters, takes them over," etc., then it's the stolen software sites you need to worry about, friend, not GOTD. Some of those files are crawling. There's no honor among thieves. And I look forward to a good long belly laugh when you whine on the criminal sites, after your "'puter" gets toasted, demanding a personally addressed apology delivered on a silver plate, instead of an apology that isn't custom-molded to your giant ego. You'll get precisely nothing, which is what you will deserve.

The full version will be on sale if you buy it through http://www.bitsdujour.com on Tuesday July 10. Their discounts vary, but usually run about 35%. One day only.

Bits du Jour is a one-program-per-day site like this one, but instead of free it's just discounted. I've seen many of the programs that GOTD has given us show up there, so it's great for gloating.

Awesome I've been looking for programs like this.I love being able to do it step by step...then just one click go advanced. Yes, without the option to choose to it downloaded dealio and snap...but before I rebooted my browser and system I uninstalled those two. I do a routine clean ups anyway on a nightly basis. So, I myself don't have the problems that some are having.I sure know what companies I can go to when I get more advanced and ready to buy. Thank You for the chance to try this out. I sure would hate to have to pay out the *** then learn the hard way. It's been my understanding that that is why gaotd offers daily things from these companies. So we can find them out easier (just to sum it up in simple words) for both us and the company.

Thank You!

@142_Noddy:

Noddy, your a selfish moron to post something akin to what a buzzard might be thinking. Just because something doesn't appease you, your comment would indicate you think someone owes YOU something for atonement?! Your like the "Grinch that Stole Christmas" with that attitude.

GOTD may have had a fiasco yesterday, but what makes you think they owe you or anyone atonement. Things happen, granted this wasn't a pleasant one for anybody, including GOTD, but things do happen. Yesterday was a disappointment for ALL concerned, and who's to say it's GOTD's fault. Did it ever occur to you that GOTD could possibly have been duped as well?!

Give 'em a break and let's hope the show will go on, as I'm sure it will. Whatever is offered be thankful for just that, the fact that something was offered to you free of charge you would otherwise have to pay for and enjoy it. We may be hard on the folks here at GOTD when things don't go well, something of less than desirable quality or is buggy gets offered and the like, but we also praise them when things do go well and the offering is top notch!

Life isn't perfect, and neither is GOTD. If they knowingly post an offering something akin to yesterdays, then shame on them. But give the benefit of the doubt, GOTD could've been slipped one on the side as well. I don't have a clue. What I do know is things happen that we all don't like at some time or another in life, and you just have to get over it and move on. It's' not the end of the world, and nobody owes you anything except to respect your space in return for your respect.

Wasn't around yesterday to see this download. By the look of things, I'm glad I wasn't.

But for anyone who really does want the full version of this program, keep an eye on CompUSA ads. This software is fairly regularly offered free after rebate. I never bothered -- not wanting the hassle of waiting for my $30 to come back. But just an FYI.

However, after seeing how slimy this company appears to be with this whole GOTD fiasco, even FAR may not be enticing enough.

I'm sure glad I started reading these reviews before installing... because I knew to beware of the extra, er, STUFF, it would try to load. I was able to bypass the dealio and snap things and install the main program with no trouble. GAOTD, please try not to let them include all this extra stuff that most people don't want. IF they MUST be included, please warn us somewhere. Thanks!

#123 & 128... look at http://www.popims.com/en/animator-versions.htm click on "this page with prices in US Dollars" to open up the page even more. you will see additional for-pay versions. I was unable to re-find the statement that said you could only save to avi in the free version - but it was there, somewhere.

For FunMorph, my prices of "$39 to $49" only referred to the standard version and the $39 price came from #48s link to http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Multimedia_and_Graphics/Graphics_Editors/Fun_Morph.html

Morpheus Software, why the silence from you?

Most of the companies that get criticism regarding their products on this site, respond to that criticism and offer ways to fix the complaints.

I have always been curious about your company since I remember reading, back in 1999, about your founder and his roots in studying graphics in computer science. I have never really had the need for your product but now I am getting into graphics and when I saw your product being offered, I thought - "GREAT! I will give it a try!"

Then all this other stuff (not the STANDARD version as described, and the BHO) started getting discussed and I now have serious concerns about your company. Like I said to the GAOTD in my previous post, I would like to believe that you simply made a mistake with the registration code, but we have not heard from you. I would think your good name means everything. (It does not sound so good from the comments I've read here.)

Why do they tell us all of it's great features like easy emailing only to find that we only got the Lite version , which is worth $10.00 off the Standard version , should you wish to upgrade to what you thought you downloaded to begin with . And the 2 bundled softwares I declined were annoying too . Fun to play with , but expected MORE .

Thanks GOTD for giving us a chance to evaluate this software!
Aventually I removed Morpheus Photo Morpher from my testing PC for two reasons:

- the Dealio toolbar
- the fact that the software doesn't seem to let you export in formats like quicktime, SWF or FLV

PS. The program called HiJack This! is great for removing the Dealio toolbar...permanently

When I saw this was availble this morrning I was prertty please because I had considered buying it just recently. But by the time I got home from work I was able to see that it is a limited version with spyware. OK. So I decided to install it anyway to at least see what it's like. I carefully avoided installing the spyware and got the program installed. Every time I tried to activate it, however, I put the serial number in and it said I have to be connected to the Internet. Of course, I am connected to the Internet. I turned off my firewall and it still won't activate. I finally got fed up and uninstalled it. I don't think I really would want to buy any software from this company at this point. It seems stupid of them to provide something like this if they want to find new customers. This does just the opposite, turns peope off for good.

Yep I agreed with everyone that this software are bundled with crap of spywares which is not acceptable to us and to Giveaway of the Day staff as well! Since they do that then they should offer full version of Pro edition without no spywares! Just my 2 cents.

I was interested in this program until I read the comments. I'm glad I didn't download because I really don't need spyware (thinking about the comment that said something to the effect -- Oh, boy. Two extra, free programs! (grin) ).

I do think it was deceptive to offer the lite version when it was implied that the standard version was the offering as well as bundling spyware in with the package -- even if the software gives you the option to not install.

I have gathered the suggestions here for alternate programs and will post them to the Forum, if that has not already been done, under the "Software Talks" section.

If you really want the full $29.95 program, you can get it today at Buy.com with free shipping for $19.95 after rebates, but I wouldn't give them a PENNY for it after today.

I appreciate your comments, however, you have some facts incorrect.
You said: "Meesoft’s Popims Animator is NOT freeware. It is shareware."
Wrong: In fact, Meesoft HAS released Popims Animator as freeware and it has a lot of features.

You said: "FunMorph is NOT freeware. Yes, it is free to DOWNLOAD, but it will cost you $39 to $49 to purchase..."
Correct, it is not free. However, depending on the version you choose, it will cost you $49.95 to $79.95.

#77 joe kisanu - you're welcome, its nice to finally be able to help someone (LOL)! I've been wanting to point out this gem in the freeware library for some time - i can't say enough good things about PaintStar. It has a nice screen capture feature and i like painting with the filter brush. it also has a huge amount of textures for its size. The only downside is you can't pin any of the menus in place and if you're working on a large image, it can be a real pain - if you find a way around that one, pm me in the forum!
however, i tried running a search in the library again using morph as a tag and guess what? the programs that it listed before are no longer coming up in that category! Try using morpheus as a tag, however, and you will find two progs - Malware Scanner and Ad Striker - that both refer to removing adware/spyware from Morpheus. Now i realize that the program being referred to as Morpheus is not connected to the developers of todays giveaway, but given todays issues, it was very funny to see it in print and funnier still that the tag reference has been changed...

According to the forum the trial version of Morpheus also tries to download adware onto your computer. The internet is a worldwide beast and putting adware onto your computer WITHOUT warning you beforehand that it is going to do so is not a wise idea. So both Morpheus and Giveawayoftheday are now listed as sites where an unwary user may pick up a virus or spyware. This means that people with certain security packages installed may, after the next download of updates, no longer be able to access these two sites.

Hello everyone,

Sometimes to my own detriment, I trust too easily. However, I have learned while here, not to trust any software that isn't first tested by those learned reviewers whom I have come to trust, like Bladed Thoth, Hempman, Belgian Dude, Merril and a very few others.

I'm never quick to download and I even spend time reading the trashy comments - as a gem can be found even in those, once in a while.

I would love to be able to use the Pro version of this program and if Morpheus Software want to atone for their stealth and dishonesty - the Pro version should be offered here later today.

I'll check back later.

A sincere thank you to all those serious reviewers - you certainly saved my PC!

To sum up:

"Morpheus Photo Morpher Lite with Adware", Free today at GOTD, unavailable anywhere else at any time for any price, crippled version. Dirty. rates -10/10.

However, in its defense, "Morpheus Photo Morpher Lite with Adware" will definitely provide hours of pleasure to those who enjoy other peoples' misfortune. And it may have some other potential benefits. As a GOTD offering, "Morpheus Photo Morpher Lite with Adware" is a ground breaker on several levels. As such, it may become a collector's item ($). Undoubtedly, the number of copies extant at the end of day will be, shall we say... nominal. Therefore, rare.

And, if by some great, good fortune, this issue happens to escalate to the level of legal action... we could all potentially benefit (think Class Action Suit). That assumes we can get this in front of a judge sympathetic to monetary claims for mental anguish caused by bad software. On that basis, albeit speculative, "Morpheus Photo Morpher Lite with Adware" rates 20/10. It's a real keeper!

“Popims Animator” - FREE at http://meesoft.logicnet.dk/, formerly “SmartMorph”, recently added features, multiple languages. Clean. rates 8/10.

"Image Analyzer" - FREE at http://meesoft.logicnet.dk/, filtering, enhancing, denoising images; deconvolution of images; blow up images. Clean. rates 9/10.

"Cartoonist" - FREE (formerly payware) at http://www.vicman.net/cartoonist/index.htm, for warping more than morphing. Clean. rates 8/10.

"Fun Morph" - $50-$500 US, crippled trial

"SqirlzMorph" - FREE at http://www.xiberpix.com/SqirlzMorph.html, like #82 said, pretty good for a freebie. Clean. rates 7/10.

For those interested in morphing or warping photos, the real find here is from werwölfchen for “Popims Animator” and "Image Analyzer". Both solid.

Danke schön! werwölfchen.

I'm in love with two women. The first of them is young, blond, beautiful, atractive and too rich. But she is just a model. The another one is inteligent, smart and clever. But she is not young and rich. She is just an University professor. I can't make my choice and decision. Well, I'll use Morpheus Photo Morpher to create the combined image of the both. I'll marry to this ideal "Morpheus Photo Morpher Creature".

GOTD has had problems with developers pawning of lite or defective versions of the product they say you are getting to suck you in and force you to buy the full or undefective software. I had a companies employee tell me there company did give the GOTD team a defective version that they themselves that they never would sell on their site.

"74. HOLY CRAP. This is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for for the past three months. I can’t begin to describe my excitement. I haven’t even used it but am giving it 10/10 for pure timing."

The net is full of software like this, it would take less than a minute to find several versions, not 3 months. Whoever wrote that was on the payroll, methinks.

Spyware + shareware masquerading as freeware + very probably fake "user review" = beware of Morpheus Software.

By the way, "Your Uninstaller 2006" found registry traces after Snap's removal, and got rid of them. Use whatever uninstaller works for you.

I noticed something pretty deceptive about this. When you download it and "skip" the registration, all the features work. When you enter the registration code they give you, most of the features are turned off, and you have to pay to get the features again. Pretty deceptive on Morpheus's part. Still, thanks to Give Away of the Day for making it available.
