Anyone who have downloaded a version of Keriver Image from GRIVEAWAYOFTHEDAY, please download the latest release from http://www.keriver.com/download/setup.exe, some bugs have fixed in the latest release. And, a Recovery Media Builder is also included in the latest release.

The License Key which you got from GRIVEAWAYOFTHEDAY is still valid for the latest version.

well, caused my pc to crash – b.s.o.d. x 2. finally got it back up and restored, but it took several hours. when i finally got all of the software uninstalled i wasn’t about to try running it again. first gotd giveaway i have had any problems with though.

#122 you need to re-install using the setup.exe as an Administrator, the error you quote is due to it not having full Admin rights.

I have successfully installed the program and created the Recovery CD. However, I was unable to boot from the Recovery CD. (The Recovery CD is the .iso image) Don’t know what’s wrong. Please help.

I was very excited about this ,until i have had problems with the install.ISO extraction went fine,activation key and instructions received and understood.Received this error,1607: Unable to installshield scripting runtime.Tried 3 diff times.I am now uninstalling this software.Running XP home.First install problems iv’e had from GAOTDs’ giveaways.Thanks for trying anyway,better luck next time.

#111 the LiveCD mini-linux mounts all non-linux partitions as read only. You must create your backups in a supported version of windows using the supplied and activated win32 exe. Ideally this system seems to need 2 optical drives, unless the liveCD boot: control line includes a toRAM option so we can remove the LiveCD after booting, which it easily could, but I don’t think it does. With a bit more work on the developers side this could be made viable and better than DOS only recovery options. It can handle larger than 2G backup image files so it cannot be using the 32bit ZIP compression routines that most freeware and some paid windows/DOS hybrid imaging systems use.

wasnt able to extract the iso file. not rating as its probably my own fault.

Thanks GAOTD for the free software. I have downloaded, installed and registered Keriver Image. All on dial-up too. I have not tried the software yet. So I can’t judge it just yet.
