I could really use software to recover notes that were on my iPhone but lost when iTunes sync'd them away. They are still in the backup on the iPhone. Suggestions?

[It really is time that GotD restricts the thumb voting icons to those IP addresses that have already downloaded (in whole or in part) the program of the day.]
[They do it already by recording our clickings on yes and no after each comment. It shouldn't be too much programming.]

But for today's program: I don't understand these i-backup programs. They may back up owners' data onto, say, PCs - but what then?
Can the data be put back?
If I make room on an iPhone to perform an OS upgrade, say, by taking data off, can I then write back my saved data to the phone?

Thank you Giveaway of the day and Jihosoft. I haven't tried this yet, but will. Sounds like what I need to get back everything I lost.
Thank you again!

Installed fine on windows 8.1 64 bit. Not sure why there are so many downvotes. I tested it on both a phone and a backup file. Really cool software to have. Thanks so much Jihosoft, and GAOTD Team!

Downloaded and installed on Windows XP. Very slow scanning. As much as people don't like it, iTunes is a better product. Besides I don't feel comfortable having a Chinese software company accessing the content on my iPhone. Deleted.

Installed and registered without issues.Removed photos from iPad using one computer and used this program for recovery on another computer. 1 photo was recovered out of 278 I had removed. Removed photos from the iPod Touch using one computer connecting it to another computer running this software for recovery with zero results. This software does not deliver on its promise.

As for today's offering, I don't own a single iDevice, and probably never will because I despise their proprietary universe, so it's a no go for me. But, for the rest of you folks, enjoy! ;-)

Nice app, clean and simple. Installs fast( Windows 7) . Detected my Iphone 5S on IOS 7.1 with no issues. Took about 5 minutes to scan. Very effective- found photos Id forgotten Id taken and deleted. . Can display only deleted , or all ( ie the stuff thats still on your phone). Can print the item for example a text . Brilliant app , Im keeping it.

Absolutely unusefull software.
Just another trash as 95% of the software to iPhone and Mac.
And $79 for this?
The question is no affordability but intelligence.
Really you are kidding, only people that has ¨intelligence¨ to expend in an iPhone would have "intelligence" to buy this.

Definite keeper. Not sure why the thumbs down but probably from people who do not understand what the software does or do not have an iphone/ipad or who like the now totally useless screensavers. But this really helps to retrieve the files I deleted without having to do a full retrieval from any backups I have done.

Worked, but only with very recent deletions, and did not appear to recover everything. I'd like to see an option to scan current (undeleted) files, messages, attachments, call history, and save them to computer as well. I have worked in a cell phone call center, and people are frequently looking for a way to print out or save messages easily.

Installed with no problems! I am thrilled with this, several months ago I accidentally deleted everything on my iPhone 5, when I tried to restore with iTunes my backup was corrupt. I thought I had lost over 1200 pictures... Today thanks to this download I was able to access them and restore them to my phone!!!! THANKS

Maybe GOTD should give thought to making it mandatory to leave a comment before a thumbs up or down can be made. Just saying. Any garbage comments like "djaidlasdjla" could be deleted along with the vote. Not a perfect solution but better than the status quo. Or maybe, ad an "I don't need this" option, too.

For what it's worth, I totally agree with #9 & #10's comments! Whether you can use the software or not, it's your decision! But, to mark a thumbs down, just because you can't use this software, that's just plain wrong!

Installed without problems on a Win7 machine and seems to run fine, without interfering with iTunes, which some other programs of this sort have done. Really puzzled that this has gotten so many thumbs down. I'm happy to have something like this for emergency recovery of data.

Installed just fine but there is no menu item for registering. The registration info was in the text file and the post-install GOTD box, but there appears no registration process. It found my iTunes backups and was able to see the files. Good. It was not able to see into my water damaged iPhone 4 any better than iTunes was...so my immediate purpose for downloading didn't pan out. But I would like to register it for use later...no info on the site regarding registration either.

#9 Not always a matter of afford. Some of us just despise apple. Me, I'd use two tin cans and a spool of string before I'd use an iphone.

I installed and activated the software on Windows 8.1 32bit for my Iphone 4. I wanted to print some messages from my phone backup so I could keep them. It printed the messages and works great. thanks,GOTD

Installed easily and worked perfectly! I was able to view and retrieve everything on the very fist try. I like having an alternative and backup to Itunes. Frankly, I thing most of the thumbs-down were entered by people who did not like the idea of this program as it seems to work precisely as advertised.
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate/64bit.

Why so many thumbs down? Maybe because...
1/ If you have an Android phone then this is useless; or
2/ If you use Windows Phone or Symbian or Blackberry or Palm OS or Maemo or Meego or if you have no smart phone at all then this is useless; or
3/ $79 is a ridiculous price for such little functionality - seriously, how often would an iPhone owner need to use this?
I do not own any Apple products so I cannot test this to see whether or not it works well. Also, I don't know whether Apple's own software performs the tasks that this programme does (but why would you have back up files if iOS/iTunes wasn't able to use them to restore your data?).
If I had an iPhone then I'd grab this while it was free on the off chance that I needed it at some stage in the future, but would I pay $79? Or even $7.90? Nope.

I would suspect that most if not all the thumbs down are from people who do not use the iOS platform. Although Apple thinks so or at least would hope, not everyone does!

Don't thumbs down just because you didn't read title properly :P

Like many other giveaways which appear half decent without taking an x-ray shot of what this prospective software beauty can do... user ratings has begun at 86% with no explanation.

Without doing a review on my part, and without the intro of third party software to recover what this program is claiming, the manufacturer generally supplies a means to create a recovery backup of the data saved/created on most IOS mobile devices, and conduct a periodic backup to prevent valuable loss of data saved on Apple/IOS devices. So one wonders here... why does it get down rated before hitting the web page. Hmmm

Anyhooo, I am looking for this type of software right now but sadly I don't have an iphone! Looks promising tho.

This is really bizarre. I am interested in this software but it only got 23 thumbs up, but 141 thumbs down. The problem is that not one single solitary person stated what's good or bad about the software! Guess I'll just try it without any expectations.

hm, no comments, just more then hundred thumbs down? i dont understand why you care to "evaluate" something you didnt try (and if you dont need it (as i), why do you care? iOS users have qalso right for some gifts...
but in this case i understand thumb-downs a bit: i miss more information how and where can be this sw installed (on handy where i want something recover? on any mac? or even under windows?) and how it works. that is usually the first comment here...

Question for Jihosoft: Is your product backwards compatible for ios version 4.1? I scoured your site for this info, but it is not addressed in the system requirements or elsewhere.

(Note: there are many ipod touches still in service, that don't have the horsepower to upgrade, but are otherwise still perfectly serviceable devices).

I think the title is a bit misleading and will put many off - The title indicates that this software is only suitable for iOS 5.1 but their web site states "Totally compatible with all iOS versions, including the latest iOS 7".
