An easier method of creating the same sort of effect is with Incansoft's GFX video writer. Ideal if you want to make basic presentation style films, for instance to upload to youtube. Very affordable, and quite effective!

Would have been perfect timing if it converted PPT to SWF as I'm pulling my hair out looking for a freebie that does this accurately. Next time.

Downloaded and registered no problem, but when I tried to convert a ppt file, the program hung. Read previous comments here and started powerpoint - got an error message that said "Something wrong with yoru powerpoint" or something like that, anyway, it's a good idea, but it doesn't work and there's not very good support for it at all.

After reading the comments above I've decided to install it.... On a sandbox just out of curiosity to see what it does, well... it doesn't do much, just the powerpoint not found error, I'm not going to expend more time to figure out whats wrong with it.
It Ran on winXp Sp3 with powerpoint installed and working well. I have never had to convert a ptt to video but if someday I have to, I guess I'll just use some screen capturer like snagit, it converts anything to video all by itself, no hassle, no blaming and pointing fingers to other applications that are oK .

Error: Load PPT File(S) Error,Please try again ! Or Your PowerPoint doesn't Work Well!
Tried on 3 different files, always the same error.
Windows 7 Enterprise, MS Office 2010 ProPlus -both 32-bit.
I see huge ammount of people having problems so I assume this software is not good at all. Thumbs down.

"iTopsoft Studio, the world leading consumer software provider, found in 2009"

It doesn't say "world's leading"...

and I do believe most of the world leaders are now in China. I'm sure glad somebody found them.

"We will always uphold "all customer-centric" business philosophy to offer you the most satisfied products and service."

The software they make might be good, but I just won't install anything in my computer where the maker has spent nearly zero effort in customer support. Makes it all too pathetic when they make their customer relation statement in Engrish gibberish.

Thanks GOTD, but perhap someone could at least review their website before promoting a product, and make it a tiny bit palpable.

I've tried to convert is various format and the files are just HUGE and the quality not so great even when converting into HD, and for some reason it doesn't convert the music that is embedded into the PPT
so, not so sure that it's worth it, have to test some more, but as far as installation goes, no problem on Vista.

First GOTD that I have installed that doesn't work (Windows XP SP3, Office 2007 on F drive). On attempting a conversion ZoneAlarm shows that it identifies the correct location of POWERPNT.EXE but then it generates a "Load PPT Files(S) Error,Please try again ! Or your PowerPoint doesn't Work Well !" (sic) message. There's nothing wrong will my installation of Office, the problem lies with iToolSoft PPT to Video.

Not sure if any of you encounter this problem: after installed and uninstalled the useless iToolSoft PPT to Video, all buttons in other programs, for example, in Photoshop when I filtered an image, all buttons (OK button, Cancel button,...) appeared without any text on that!!!

Then I had to use Revo uninstaller to kill all the rubish left, restarted the PC, and it's become normal now. Do not know if that craziness was caused by this software? But definately this program is not recommended.

An alternative is Wondershare PPT2VideoFree (though I still love iSpring [previous GOTD but if you miss it, it's worth buying] to convert PPT to flash, then you can you iWisoft Flash to video when needed.

"iToolSoft PPT to Video Convert PPTs to video formats: AVI, H.264, WMV, MP4, MOV, etc. Convert PPTs to 1080p HD-formats: HD AVI, HD H.264, HD MPEG-2 TS."
They're just talking about media-containers, the only mentioned codec is h.264, which isn't really a codec, but a standard for codecs. Pretty limited? No wait, their site mention mpeg2 too(and mpeg4 but H.264 is a MPEG4 based standard already).

Also their site doesn't mention a word about which codec(s) they use. Do they use system codecs? Do they deliver their own codec? Did they borrow some libraries from existing project?

Also, no word about which versions of Powerpoint are supported.

More information would be appreciated, I mean, there is a Technical section in their knowledge base, but it's empty.
