It did not detect the things that I KNOW start up. ESPECIALLY I did not like that it had to connect to the internet for a reason that I do not know...AFTER I uninstalled it! It HAD to connect to the internet using whatever means I wanted to go online with...i.e. It would use Firefox or Thunderbird or any program that was going online and send it's message back home or wherever it was sending. I have no idea and no way of knowing what information it collected and transmitted after the uninstall and after I scanned and cleaned the registry and after malware/spyware/adware scans. It seems to have transmitted that time and appears to finally be not active in my system...but who knows? I am beginning to not trust the programs I find on Giveawayoftheday!

Under those circumstances I make an excuse. So InControl is okay and a piece of software that's very useable. The malware report of "Spybot" is not specific enough and I relied on it.

Indeed I was pleased at first when I had a look at the installed InControl, and only after I applied "Spybot" I felt shocked. I look for the latest offer on GAOTD each day.

Fare well to all of us!

Re: #131 & 132 Thanks Boris (Virtuza Software) for clearing that rumor up even after the offer was over as I always check for answers to the later comments. Thanks for offering InControl through GOTD! I read about your OverSpy on your site, and understood what it is intended for. I would have been interested if I still had any other users on my computers (such as teenagers). I have not found any reports of any problems since I downloaded InControl. Install went fine and with a little practice I will figure out the rest. It seems to be just what I needed since I use my computers for my business. However, I am not very good at knowing what I can remove or disable on start up so this will help me get some of the things to stop starting that I don't want to without fear of messing up anything. Thanks GOTD for offering it and I will keep on checking what you have. Just found your site recently. Thanks

InControl is free of adware, spyware and other malware or unwanted stuff. This is a known fault of Spybot's detection system.

OverSpy is a commercial PC monitoring software. It is not spyware, as spyware is something unknown malicious individuals distribute to steal other people's information. You buy OverSpy for yourself and the PCs you own to be able to monitor them (or your child who might be using them).

We (Virtuza Software) are legitimate company. Does it make any sense to publicly offer spyware here!?!

Just enjoy the free software you got, which is exactly the same one you could've bought for $29.95.
